Abstract: An HVAC system may include a housing having a first wall and a second wall opposite the first wall and an evaporator disposed within a portion of the housing to cool an air flow. The portion of the housing may include an inlet and an outlet to receive and output the air flow. The HVAC system may also include a multi-configuration drain pan assembly that collects condensate formed by cooling of the air flow and may include a first drain pan and a second drain pan. The first drain pan may selectively couple to the housing in a first position or a second position, and, the second drain pan may couple to the housing in a third position or a fourth position, different from the third position, relative to the first drain pan.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system that includes a condensate collection assembly. The condensate collection assembly includes a drain pan configured to collect condensate generated by a heat exchanger of an HVAC system. The condensate collection assembly also includes a condensate capture receptacle configured to couple to the heat exchanger and overlap with the heat exchanger relative to a direction of air flow across the heat exchanger. The condensate capture receptacle is further configured to discharge condensate to the drain pan, and to be suspended above the drain pan relative to a direction of gravity.
