  • Publication number: 20230250817
Abstract: A monitoring system for reciprocating pump having a plunger connected to a crankshaft by a crosshead and connecting rod assembly. The monitoring system includes a plurality of wireless temperature sensors which each have a temperature probe connected to a sensor head, a plurality of antennas which each have an antenna head configured to communicate wirelessly with a corresponding one of the sensor heads, and a signal processing unit connected to the plurality of antennas. Each temperature probe is positioned in contact with a corresponding crank pin bearing, wrist pin bearing or crosshead bearing. Each sensor head is mounted to the crosshead, and each antenna head is mounted to the pump at a location in which communication is enabled between the antenna head and its corresponding sensor head when the crosshead reaches a first position during each reciprocation of the crosshead.

  • Publication number: 20210270263
Abstract: A reciprocating pump system for replacing a removable packing bore, the system includes a fluid end and a pump drive end. The fluid end includes a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, a working barrel, a reciprocating member disposed in the working barrel, and the removable packing bore disposed within the working barrel. The pump drive end includes a gearbox integrally connected to a crankshaft, a crosshead, a transverse member configured to oscillate the reciprocating member of the fluid end in transverse motion. The removable packing bore and the transverse member are each configured to be connected to a packing bore connector.

  • Patent number: 10787864
Abstract: Apparatus, systems and methods provide protection for components of a downhole tool by using a liner and/or web protector to minimize, block, or prevent erosion of a pillar component, which is adjacent to an opening of the downhole tool, during activation and operation of the downhole tool. The downhole tool comprises a body having an external surface and internal volume configured to store thermite fuel, wherein the thermite fuel is configured to ignite into a molten thermite fuel. The downhole tool comprises an opening extending from the internal volume through the external surface, and a pillar defining one side of the opening, wherein the opening is configured to project the molten thermite fuel. The downhole tool includes web protectors, abutting at least an internal side of the pillar, to block the molten thermite fuel from impinging the internal side of the pillar, thus protecting the components of the downhole tool.

  • Patent number: 8448710
Abstract: An apparatus for a plunger lift mechanism with a main channel disposed between a first and second valve. The first valve is closed by engaging a sealing member to a first seat at a proximal end of the main channel and the second valve consequently closes to with a sealing member engaging a second seat at a distal end of the main channel. An amount of pressure accumulates on a first side of the plunger lift to overcome a pressure on a second side of the plunger lift to force the plunger lift to traverse a well bore and evacuate any fluids present above the plunger lift.

  • Patent number: 8261769
Abstract: A controller and method of using same are disclosed. Preferably, the controller includes a pilot cartridge housing supporting an invertible pilot cartridge assembly (“cartridge”). The cartridge preferably includes a cartridge body supporting a number of pneumatic seals adjacent the housing, wherein at least two of the seals are diaphragms. The cartridge preferably provides a first pilot activation feature and an opposing second pilot activation feature. The operating mode of the cartridge is determined by a selected orientation of the first pilot activation feature relative to the housing; and preferably the method of operating the controller includes the steps of: selecting an orientation of the first pilot activation feature relative to the housing; setting a span control mechanism to a neutral position relative to the housing; adjusting a float communicating with the cartridge to a neutral position; and adjusting said span control mechanism to determine a response type of said cartridge.
