Abstract: A reinforced handle comprising a handle housing with one or more support ribs positioned on the inside surface of the handle housing and a reinforcing insert positioned adjacent to the support ribs, wherein the reinforcing insert has a preferable shape selected from one of the following group of an elongated bar with a U-shaped channel, a rod with a U-shaped channel, or a hollow cylinder. The reinforced handle can be used with a cleaning system containing a cleaning head assembly.

Abstract: Provided is a locking segmented handle for use with a cleaning implement and the like. The handle includes two or more segments that are coupled at assembly to form the handle. Each segment includes connector elements at connector ends of the segments. The connector elements of each segment include components that cooperate with corresponding components of the connector elements of other segments to preclude relative rotational motion of the segments after complete assembly of the segments to form the handle.

Abstract: A cleaning system comprises a cleaning device having a handle portion, the handle portion having a proximal end and a distal end; a cleaning head portion, the cleaning head portion adapted for use with a removable cleaning pad; a cleaning pad; and a cleaning fluid reservoir fluidly coupled to the cleaning head portion such that cleaning fluid is controllably allowed to flow by gravity onto the surface to be cleaned adjacent the cleaning head portion. The cleaning tool further comprises a nozzle portion mounted to the head or handle portions. The head portion of the cleaning system is coupled to the handle portion. A scrubbing portion is operatively coupled to the head portion the scrubbing portion having a scrubbing surface having surface features for providing a scrubbing action to the surface to be cleaned.
