  • Publication number: 20250113171
Abstract: An electronic device may use information about the location of nearby devices to make sharing with those devices more intuitive for a user. When two devices are pointed towards one another, each device may automatically present the option to share information with the other device. When a user wishes to share information with one or more devices in a group of users, an array of icons representing the nearby users may be positioned on the display according to the locations of the nearby users so that the sharing user can easily select which user he or she wishes to share with. A sharing user may broadcast a signal and nearby users may elect to receive the signal by pointing their devices towards the sharing user. A user of two devices may share information between the two devices and may use one device to manipulate the information on the other device.

  • Publication number: 20250113067
Abstract: The present document describes devices and methods for rendering multiple live-streams on a user interface (UI) with minimal resources. The UI is activated, having a first set of remote sensors loaded for rendering. The first set of remote sensors receive a first activation signal and begin streaming first data, which the UI renders. Respondent to an action changing the set of remote sensors to be rendered on the UI, a second set of remote sensors are loaded for rendering. The second set of remote sensors receive a second activation signal and begin streaming second data, which the UI renders while the first set of remote sensors continue streaming the first data. The first data is no longer streamed after a threshold time is reached.

  • Publication number: 20250112766
Abstract: A method of generation of a random symbol sequence using quantum opto-electronic devices A and B with device-independent security is disclosed. The method is characterized by the two sources each producing entangled two-beam, pulsed multiphoton quantum states of light and sending one beam to a quantum interference and measurement device C. Before being sent, the beams are multiplexed with coherent beams. Quantum interference and measurement device C demultiplexes them and uses coherent beams for compensating the fluctuations in the quantum beams. Then, it interferes quantum beams on a beam splitter, measures the output and sends results back. Subsequently, A and B share an entangled state. They interfere local beams with coherent light on beam splitters and measure on detectors. A fraction of measurements are kept secret and used as the source of symbols forming the cryptographic key, while others are used to establish the security using an entanglement test.

  • Publication number: 20250112462
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating an application profile repository that comprises application profiles. These application profiles may indicate the likely processes executed by a given application as well as the usage metric signatures for those processes. Additionally, the application profiles may indicate the dependencies between applications. To overcome the technical issue of some application profiles being missing or incomplete, the application profile repository may comprise a first set of application profiles corresponding to applications with known dependencies and a second set of application profiles corresponding to applications with virtual dependencies. These virtual dependencies may be determined based on comparisons of the applications, their processes, device usage metrics while the processes are being executed, etc.

  • Publication number: 20250112484
Abstract: An apparatus may include a DC to DC converter that converts a high voltage level from a battery pack to a relatively lower voltage level for various components of a vehicle. The DC to DC converter may provide an alternate power supply in addition to a battery that is separate from the battery pack. The battery pack and the DC to DC converter may be used to supply power, instead of the battery, during a sleep mode of a vehicle. Further, the DC to DC converter can supply power to float charge the battery, thus minimizing cycling of the battery. The DC to DC converter and the battery may provide a redundant, or backup, power source for a vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20250112155
Abstract: Hybrid bonded die stacks, related apparatuses, systems, and methods of fabrication are disclosed. One or both of an integrated circuit (IC) die hybrid bonding region and a base substrate hybrid bonding region are surrounded by a protective layer and hydrophobic structures on the protective layer. The protective layer is formed prior to pre-bond processing to protect the hybrid bonding region during plasma activation, clean test, high temperature processing, or the like. Immediately prior to bonding, the hydrophobic structures are selectively applied to the protective layer. The hybrid bonding regions are brought together with a liquid droplet therebetween, and capillary forces cause the IC die to self-align. A hybrid bond is formed by evaporating the droplet and a subsequent anneal. The hydrophobic structures contain the liquid droplet for alignment during bonding.

  • Publication number: 20250111382
Abstract: Described herein are devices, systems, methods, and processes for assessing and managing the carbon footprint of information technology (IT) infrastructures. The system can utilize distributed public key infrastructure (PKI) to ensure data security, trustworthiness, and anonymity. It may provide real-time, accurate, and comprehensive data on the carbon footprint of the entire infrastructure, enabling administrators to make informed decisions based on live, aggregated, and anonymized power consumption data and carbon footprint metrics. The system can also support the management of carbon-related metrics during processes such as device migration or infrastructure renewal. Furthermore, it can enable various stakeholders, including IT infrastructure owners, auditors, and generic users, to access and analyze the data based on their specific roles and permissions. This approach can enhance the transparency and accountability of IT operations, contributing to environmental sustainability efforts in the IT industry.
