    Abstract: An automated cage-to-cage fitting technique is used to fit three-dimensional (3D) geometry to target 3D geometry for 3D avatars in a 3D environment, such as an online game. Each graphical representation of items of clothing is provided with an inner cage and an outer cage. The inner cage of a clothing item (a current layer) is mapped to the outer cage of another clothing item (a previous/underlying layer) that has been fitted on the 3D avatar. This mapping enables the current layer to conform to the shape of the previous layer. The technique allows any body geometry to be fitted with any clothing geometry, including enabling layers of clothing to be fitted over underlying layer(s). Hidden surface removal (HSR) operations may be performed to identify surfaces of an underlying layer that are hidden by an overlying layer, and such hidden surfaces are not rendered.

    Abstract: A 3D memory array has data storage structures provided at least in part by one or more vertical films that do not extend between vertically adjacent memory cells. The 3D memory array includes conductive strips and dielectric strips, alternately stacked over a substrate. The conductive strips may be laterally indented from the dielectric strips to form recesses. A data storage film may be disposed within these recesses. Any portion of the data storage film deposited outside the recesses may have been effectively removed, whereby the data storage film is essentially discontinuous from tier to tier within the 3D memory array. The data storage film within each tier may have upper and lower boundaries that are the same as those of a corresponding conductive strip. The data storage film may also be made discontinuous between horizontally adjacent memory cells.

The feedback data are obtained by the worker with its own training data and are associated with previous values of a set of parameters of the machine learning model at the worker. The current value may have been updated for once or more due to operation of other workers. Then, the server can update the current values of the set of parameters based on the feedback data and the differences between values of the set of parameters. Thus, the updating does not only take the training result of each worker into consideration but also makes proper compensation for delay between different workers.

The torque of the torsion field changes the spin states of electrons and atomic cores in a hypoxic microfield in the body of a patient, to arrange the electrons and atomic cores in a uniform magnetic field direction. The magnetic actuation of the electrons and atomic cores can make the microfield environment serialized and orderly and increase the negentropy.
