  • Publication number: 20190349116
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may implement reliability thresholds for transmissions. Base stations and user equipment (UEs) may implement techniques to reduce coding rates in order to improve reliability. For example, a base station may dynamically indicate a UE-specific transport block size (TBS) scaling factor for communication. The base station may include an explicit TBS scaling factor indicator in a downlink transmission, an implicit indication of the TBS scaling factor based on an indicated mode of operation (for example, a repetition mode) for the UE, or a combination thereof. By dynamically selecting between different supported scaling factors, the wireless devices may implement TBS scaling factors that are non-proportional to resource scaling factors, resulting in lower coding rates.

  • Publication number: 20190348987
Abstract: A subsampling motion detector used to detect motion information of an object under measurement receives a first wireless radio frequency (RF) signal and transmits a second wireless RF signal, the first wireless RF signal being generated by reflecting the second wireless RF signal from the object. The subsampling motion detector has a high frequency oscillator for outputting a high frequency oscillation signal, a low frequency controllable oscillator for generating a low frequency oscillation signal according to a control signal, and a subsampling analog-to-digital converter (SSADC). The SSADC detects a phase difference between the high frequency oscillation signal and the low frequency oscillation signal at time periods indicated by the low frequency oscillation signal. The SSADC outputs a phase detection digital output signal according to the detected phase difference.

  • Publication number: 20190346498
Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for compensating for non-ideal isotropic behavior of a field probe are disclosed. A method includes, during a calibration procedure, for each of a plurality of positions of the field probe relative to a source, each position denoted by a set of angles (?, ?), performing the following steps: measuring a field by the sensors of the probe, storing the measurements and the set of angles (?, ?) for each measurement, computing a correction factor for the set of angles (?, ?) based on the measurement, and storing the correction factors. During a measurement procedure, each sensor measures a component of the field. A set of angles is determined based on the sensor measurements, and a correction factor is determined based on the set of angles. The correction factor may then be multiplied by the sensor measurements to obtain the corrected field measurements.
