  • Publication number: 20040083575
Abstract: A handle of a winch of a lashing rope includes a metallic tube part, two caps, and a soft plastic part. The plastic part is formed around a large portion of the tube part except for two ends of the tube part by means of injection molding. The tube part has a D-shaped cross-section for preventing rotary movement of the plastic part relative to it when the handle is being used. The handle is joined to two lever portions of a winch with two ends of the tube part being passed through respective D-shaped holes on the outward ends of the lever portions so that rotary movement of the tube part is prevented when the winch is being operated at the handle and the lever portions. The caps are joined to two ends of the tube part.

  • Publication number: 20040050731
Abstract: A packing box for a lashing rope winch includes a holding plate, securing belts, an upper cover and a lower cover. The holding plate has several containing recesses arranged side by side. The securing belts are passed through connecting holes of the holding plate, and passed over the winch, and are made to become loops for securing the winch in position. The upper cover is pivoted to the lateral edges of the holding plate to cover an upper section of the containing recesses, while the lower cover is detachably joined to the lower portion of the holding plate. Thus, the winch can be easily taken out from the packing box for allowing consumers to try and inspect.

  • Patent number: 6682053
Abstract: A protective pad made of soft materials is joined to a metallic finger-operated element of a winch for a lashing rope. The finger-operated element has a flat main body, and two spaced-apart plate portions, which stick outwards substantially perpendicular to the main body to be pushed for allowing the winch to be moved to a locked position. A portion of the protective pad covers the plate portions. Thus, a user doesn't have to contact the metallic finger-operated element directly in using the winch, eliminating the risk of the fingers getting hurt by sharp edges of the metallic element. Being made of soft materials, the protective pad is to provide the user with more comfortable touch than the relatively hard plate portions of the metallic element in operating the winch.

  • Publication number: 20030217443
Abstract: A fastening elastic cord includes an elastic cord portion, two end hooking elements, and a movable hooking element. Each of the hooking elements has a holding portion having a lateral opening, and a through hole. Two ends of the cord portion are passed through the through holes, and are formed with knots that are bigger than the through holes. The knots are protected with the respective holding portions when the fastening cord is used. The movable hooking element is movably fitted around an intermediate portion of the cord portion so that length of two sections of the cord at two sides of the movable element can be adjusted.

  • Patent number: 6648302
Abstract: A winch for a lashing rope includes ratchets, and an operating member, which consists of a handle, and a pair of levers. The handle has connecting rooms at two ends; the levers have bent end portions, which are passed into the connecting rooms, and are fixed in position by means of bolts; thus, the levers can be pivoted to and fro for stretching a rope. The handle is luminous so that the workers can easily find the same in the dark. The handle is provided with a corrugated surface and anti-slip protrusions so that the user can hold the same without possibility of slipping in operating the winch to stretch a rope.

  • Publication number: 20020138952
Abstract: A fastening rope has a buckle, two rope members and two hooking members. The rope members are each connected to the buckle from one end and the respective hooking member from other end. The rope members are elastic so they can stretch to fasten objects with the hooking members fixed in position. The fastening rope won't become loose when used to fasten cargos in a truck when the dimensions of the cargos become smaller due to shaking of the truck, change of position of the cargos or collision between the cargos.

  • Patent number: 6217268
Abstract: A fastening net for use on a luggage rack of a car has a rope, several fixing elements, hooking elements and a central fixing element. The rope is firstly arranged to have a first “8”, the first “8” being formed diagonally across a predetermined square defining the dimension of the net. Then, a second, a third and a fourth “8”s are formed in a similar way, constituting the major part of the net. The rest of the rope is arranged across the intermediate portions of the “8”s, approaching the center of the net. The fixing elements are each coupled to a respective one of the intersections of all parts of the rope. The hooking elements are fixed to the part of the rope constituting the edge of the net. The central fixing element is connected to the middle portions of all the “8”s for locating the sections of the rope from the center.

  • Patent number: 5316266
Abstract: A strap extending and tensioning system includes a strap winding mechanism to wind a predetermined length of strap on itself. A clevis slip hook is included for coupling to a rear end of a tow truck or the like. A strap tightener allowing the strap to be tightened passes through a through slot in the strap tightener. The strap tightener has a rotatable handle to rotate counter-clockwise a pair of ratchet wheels and a shaft to wind the strap on the shaft and thus place the strap in tension loading. Two pawls, as part of a pawl plate in the rotatable handle, may engage the ratchet wheels to rotate counter-clockwise through a biasing spring which pushes the pawl plate in a predetermined direction. The shaft can wind the strap to tighten it when the displaceable handle is rotated to provide a counter-clockwise rotation of the shaft.
