    Abstract: Embodiments within the scope of the present disclosure are directed to external sensor kits that may be included in new injection molds or retrofitted into existing injection molds in order to approximate conditions within a mold, such as pressure or the location of a melt flow front. Such kits are designed to amplify meaningful measurements obtained by the external sensor kit so that noise measurements do not prevent the approximation of conditions within a mold. In some embodiments within the scope of the present disclosure, an external sensor kit includes a strain gauge sensor, a coupon, a support bracket, and a hammer. The strain gauge sensor is placed on a surface of the coupon and measures the strain in the coupon.

When the second piston is moved from the closed position to a depressurized position, the first volume of the chamber is increased to a second volume.

    Abstract: A method of fabricating a semiconductor device includes forming a hard mask layer over a substrate. A multi-layer resist is formed over the hard mask layer. The multi-layer resist is etched to form a plurality of openings in the multi-layer resist to expose a portion of the hard mask layer. Ion are directionally provided at an angle to the multi-layer resist to predominately contact sidewalls of the plurality of openings in the multi-layer resist rather than the hard mask layer. In one embodiment, the multi-layer resist is directionally etched by directing etch ions at an angle to predominately contact sidewalls of the plurality of openings in the multi-layer resist rather than the hard mask layer. In another embodiment, the multi-layer resist is directionally implanted by directing implant ions at an angle to predominately contact sidewalls of the plurality of openings in the multi-layer resist rather than the hard mask layer.

    Abstract: Data services are often provided with various performance guarantees. Multi-master architectures, in which multiple master servers are permitted to update a portion of the data set, may facilitate some performance requirements, but may also lead to data version conflicts in which different masters have written different versions of one or more data items. Moreover, conflicts involving different data items may have to be resolved using different conflict resolution techniques. Therefore, various data items of the data set may be associated with a conflict resolution technique selected from a conflict resolution technique set, such as manual conflict resolution; a write order policy, such as last writer wins; a conflict resolution logic; and conflict resolution based on data types. A data version conflict may be resolved by identifying and invoking the selected conflict resolution technique that is associated with the data item, and applying the conflict resolution outcome to the data item.
