The method includes: determining a first feature representation characterizing a first molecule and a second feature representation characterizing a second molecule; determining a candidate region for the first molecule based at least on the first feature representation and the second feature representation, the candidate region comprising multiple candidate positions for docking the first molecule with the second molecule; and for each candidate position of the multiple candidate positions, determining a result of docking the first molecule with the second molecule at the candidate position. With the solution of the present disclosure, it is possible to calculate the docking result for the candidate region for the first molecule rather than the entire region, thereby reducing the amount of computation.

    Abstract: Techniques are described herein for an integrated in-front database cache (“IIDC”) providing an in-memory, consistent, and automatically managed cache for primary database data. An IIDC comprises a database server instance that (a) caches data blocks from a source database managed by a second database server instance, and (b) performs recovery on the cached data using redo records for the database data. The IIDC instance implements relational algebra and is configured to run any complexity of query over the cached database data. Any cache miss results in the IIDC instance fetching the needed block(s) from a second database server instance managing the source database that provides the IIDC instance with the latest version of the requested data block(s) that is available to the second instance. Because redo records are used to continuously update the data blocks in an IIDC cache, the IIDC guarantees consistency of query results.

    Abstract: An image inpainting system is described that receives an input image that includes a masked region. From the input image, the image inpainting system generates a synthesized image that depicts an object in the masked region by selecting a first code that represents a known factor characterizing a visual appearance of the object and a second code that represents an unknown factor characterizing the visual appearance of the object apart from the known factor in latent space. The input image, the first code, and the second code are provided as input to a generative adversarial network that is trained to generate the synthesized image using contrastive losses. Different synthesized images are generated from the same input image using different combinations of first and second codes, and the synthesized images are output for display.

    Abstract: A method for automatic adjustment of a power grid operation mode based on reinforcement learning is provided. An expert system for automatic adjustment is designed, which relies on the control sequence of thermal power units, enabling automatic decision-making for power grid operation mode adjustment. A sensitivity matrix is extracted from the historical operating data of the power grid, from which a foundational thermal power unit control sequence is derived. An overload control strategy for lines within the expert system is devised. A reinforcement learning model optimizes the thermal power unit control sequence, which refines the foundational thermal power unit control sequence and provides the expert system with the optimized control sequence for automatic decision-making in power grid operation mode adjustment. This method offers a solution to balancing and absorption challenges brought about by fluctuations on both the supply and demand sides in high-proportion renewable energy power systems.
