Abstract: In an example, a method includes determining, at a host device, a power state of a digital input/output device, and transmitting a clock signal having a first frequency from the host device to the input/output device responsive to a determination that the input/output device is in a lower power state. The method also includes determining, at the host device, that the input/output device has transitioned into a higher power state, and transmitting a clock signal having a second frequency from the host device to the input/output device responsive to a determination that the input/output device has transitioned into the higher power state. The first frequency is lower than the second frequency.

Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. One method includes searching for a synchronization channel on a first raster point of a frequency raster identified for synchronization channel transmission. The frequency raster includes a plurality of raster points in a radio frequency spectrum. The method also includes identifying a pull-in signal on the first raster point; determining, from the pull-in signal, a second raster point of the frequency raster on which the synchronization channel is transmitted; and receiving the synchronization channel on the second raster point. Another method includes transmitting the pull-in signal and the synchronization channel.

Abstract: A device may determine that an unlicensed radio frequency (RF) spectrum band is available for a communication. The device may transmit a first transmission indicator that indicates that the device is transmitting information via the unlicensed RF spectrum band. The first transmission indicator may be associated with a first radio access technology. The device may transmit a second transmission indicator that indicates that the device is transmitting information via the unlicensed RF spectrum band. The second transmission indicator may be associated with a second radio access technology that is different from the first radio access technology.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for managing code block interleaving and de-interleaving in wireless communication systems. A transmitter detects one or more conditions related to transmissions to be made from the transmitter and decides, based on the detection, to disable an interleaver while processing the transmissions, the interleaver used to spread code blocks over available resources. A receiver detects one or more conditions relating to the transmissions from the transmitter and determines, based on the detection, whether an interleaver was used at the transmitter while processing the transmissions. The receiver decides whether or not to de-interleave code blocks of the received transmission based on the determination.

Abstract: A distributed load balancing system includes a cloud management platform, an access node, and at least one service node, where the access node and the at least one service node are physical servers, a first virtual load balancer runs on the access node, and at least one backend server runs on the service node. A detection message is sent by using a detection module on a target service node to detect a status of a target backend server, and the status of the target backend server is shared to a first virtual load balancer by using the detection module. Therefore, not only a quantity of detection messages in the load balancing system is reduced, but also signaling load on the access node is reduced.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an access authentication method and apparatus, so as to resolve prior art problems of a relatively long authentication time and high signaling overheads. The method includes: determining, by a cellular network access device, a key identifier; and sending, by the cellular network access device, the determined key identifier to UE and a non-cellular network access device, where the key identifier is used to instruct the user equipment UE to perform security authentication with the non-cellular network access device based on a key corresponding to the key identifier.

Abstract: In one embodiment, when speed control command (e.g., throttle, brake commands) is issued based on a target speed, a first feedback parameters is determined based on an expected speed and an actual speed of the ADV in response to the speed control command. A second feedback parameter is determined by applying a speed control parameter adjustment (SCPA) model to a set of input parameters that are captured or measured at the point in time. The set of input parameters represents a driving environment of the ADV at the point in time. One or more control parameters of a speed controller of the ADV is adjusted based on the first feedback parameter and the second feedback parameter, where the speed controller is configured to generate and issue speed control commands. Subsequent speed control commands can be generated based on the adjusted speed control parameters of the speed controller.

A base station (BS) may determine whether another device is transmitting on a channel in the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum or one or more other network conditions pertaining to the channel, determine a frame structure from a plurality of frame structures used for data communications based at least in part on the one or more network conditions, wherein each of the plurality of frame structures has a different frame duration, and communicate with a user equipment (UE) using the determined frame structure. A UE may determine a frame structure from a plurality of frame structures used for data communications, wherein each of the plurality of frame structures has a different frame duration, and communicate with a BS using the determined frame structure.

Abstract: A method of file management is disclosed for creating a virtual disk on a physical disk partition of a physical disk made of physical storage space. The virtual disk is made of virtual disk files having file system attributes. The method further includes determining a capacity of a storage space for storing a virtual disk file and formatting the virtual disk file with a particular file system format, wherein the virtual disk file has a distinct file system as stored in the physical disk partition. Additionally, the physical storage space of the physical disk is converted into a file system that supports the virtual disk. The virtual disk is configured to save nested virtual disk files, the nested virtual disk files are each configured to store additional nested virtual disk files thereby increasing security of files saved as virtual disk files in the physical disk.

An electronic device including a statistic calculator may be configured to calculate a statistic including the cross-correlation of the symbols. The electronic device may include a comparator configured to provide a signal indicative of a presence or absence of a wireless communication signal in the particular portion of the wireless spectrum based on a comparison of the statistic with a threshold. A decoder/precoder may be configured to receive the signal indicative of the presence or absence of the wireless communication signal and to decode the symbols responsive to a signal indicative of the presence of the wireless communication signal. Examples of systems and methods described herein may facilitate the processing of data for wireless communications in a power-efficient and time-efficient manner.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a linear regulator with real-time frequency compensation function, which belongs to the technical field of analog integrated circuits. The part of frequency compensation of the present invention includes the dual-frequency compensation networks and compensation transfer switcher, and the pulse delay circuit. The dual-frequency compensation networks and compensation transfer switcher provide the corresponding frequency compensation for linear regulator under two different capacitive loads. The pulse delay circuit generates a set of signals which have a delay related to the switch-pulse signals to control the access of the compensation transfer switcher and capacitive load.

Abstract: Techniques for configuring and operating a multimedia aware cloud, particularly configured for mobile device computing, are described herein. In some instances, clusters of servers are organized for general computing, graphic computing and data storage. A load balancing server may be configured to: identify multimedia types currently being processed within the multimedia edge cloud; determine desired quality of service levels for each identified multimedia type; evaluate individual abilities of devices communicating with the multimedia edge cloud; and assess bandwidth of each network over which the multimedia edge cloud communicates with a mobile device. With that information, multimedia data may be adapted accordingly, to result in an acceptable quality of service level when delivered to a specific mobile device. In one example of the techniques, graphic computing server clusters may be configured to process workload using a configuration that includes elements of both parallel and serial computing.

Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a second base station. The second base station receives a measurement report and a cell identifier, associated with a first base station, from a UE. The second base station determines, based on the cell identifier, that the first base station is in a dormant state. The second base station sends an activation request to the first base station, based on the measurement report, to prompt the first base station to transition from the dormant state to an active state. The second base station further includes handing off the UE to the first base station.

Abstract: Technologies are generally described related to a dual channel memory device, system and method of manufacture. Various described devices include utilization of both a front channel and a back channel through a substrate formed underneath a dual gate structure of a semiconductor device. Using two pairs of contacts on opposing sides of the gate structure, where the contact pairs are formed on differently doped layers of the semiconductor device, multiple bits may be stored in the semiconductor device acting as a single memory cell. Memorization may be realized by storing different amount or types of charges on the floating gate, where the charges may impact a conduction status of the channels of the device. By detecting the conduction status of the channels, such as open circuit, close circuit, or high resistance, low resistance, data stored on the device (“0” or “1”) may be detected.

Abstract: A method for producing a thermoplastic resin composition includes melt-blending 50 to 80 parts by mass of a crystalline polyester resin and 20 to 50 parts by mass of an amorphous polyester resin with an extruder, thereby producing a first polyester resin compound. The method further includes melt-blending 90 to 99 parts by mass of the crystalline polyester resin and 1 to 10 parts by mass of a styrene-acrylonitrile-glycidyl methacrylate terpolymer with the extruder or a different extruder, thereby producing a second polyester resin compound. The method further includes compounding 1 to 10 parts by mass of the first polyester resin compound, 1 to 10 parts by mass of the second polyester resin compound, and respective predetermined amounts of a polycarbonate resin, a flame retardant, an antidrip agent, an antioxidant, a lubricant and a toughening agent.
