    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A communication device, such as a network entity may determine a set of topologies associated with a non-linear distortion characteristic of a wireless communication at a set of devices (e.g., a user equipment (UE), a base station). For example, a single waveform may have different distortion characteristics on different frequencies. Each of one or more topologies of the set of topologies may include a frequency spectrum mask for the wireless communication. The wireless communication may include a waveform at a first frequency. The frequency spectrum mask associated with the non-linear distortion characteristic of the waveform at the first frequency may be for interference mitigation at a second frequency different than the first frequency. The network entity may transmit first control signaling indicating the set of topologies associated with the non-linear distortion characteristic of the waveform.

    Abstract: A conformal boron doping method for a three-dimensional structure includes the steps of: removing a natural oxide layer on a surface of a silicon-based three-dimensional substrate; forming a buffer layer on the surface of the silicon-based three-dimensional substrate; forming a boron oxide thin film on the alumina buffer layer; covering a passivation layer on a surface of the boron oxide thin film; and driving boron impurities containing boron oxide into the silicon-based three-dimensional substrate through the buffer layer by using laser or rapid annealing, to dope the silicon-based three-dimensional substrate. Selecting suitable boron source precursors and oxidants solves the problems of difficult nucleation and inability to form a film after reaching a certain thickness for boron oxide. By selecting alumina as the passivation layer, it is possible to protect the boron oxide thin film from being damaged, and thus achieve damage-free diffusion doping during laser or rapid annealing processes.

    Abstract: Variable stiffness materials with a modulus that can be tuned via an external stimulus offer a unique approach to realize dynamic control of adhesion. Here, an unstructured shape memory polymer (SMP) membrane with variable stiffness is used to pick-and-place of 3D objects. The variable stiffness of the SMP allows the membrane to conform to and make good contact with objects of various shapes in its soft state and then achieve high adhesive load capacity by switching to the stiff state. Release of objects is realized by switching to the soft state. The ratio between the high-adhesion and low-adhesion state is demonstrated (in non limiting embodiments) to be >2000 on a curved substrate and ˜115 on a flat substrate. This gripper exhibits no adhesion in non-actuated state and maintains adhesion passively once actuation is complete.
