Abstract: Various systems, methods and materials are disclosed that enable efficient delivery of an agent into an adhesively adhered article, in which the agent elicits a desired outcome, on demand. This strategy, though general in scope, is also more specifically described with regard to enabling painless or atraumatic removal of products adhering to mammalian tissues such as skin and hair by suitably exploiting the ingress of an appropriate agent or like fluid. Other techniques and articles that aid in the handling or removal of such adhesive products are also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention provides a continuous blender having a drive unit assembly with a shell assembly mounting assembly and a shell assembly structured to be removably coupled to the shell assembly mounting assembly by one or more clamps. The drive unit assembly may be coupled to shell assemblies having different lengths and diameters. Thus, by changing the shell assembly coupled to the drive unit assembly, the output of the continuous blender may be dramatically changed.

Abstract: The present invention is generally directed to a method for producing a frozen fish product from a whole fish fillet. The frozen fish product has many of the characteristics of a loin portion, including enhanced resistivity to partial thawing during the application of heat. The invention relates to a method for processing a fish and a comestible fish product produced thereby, wherein the method includes the steps of folding a whole fish fillet approximately in half and freezing the folded fish fillet, prior to subsequent external surface processing.

Abstract: A system and method for securing wireless communications are provided. A method for secure communications by a first user includes estimating a channel between the first user and a second user, thereby producing an first phase estimate of the channel, generating a first block of secret bits based on the first phase estimate of the channel, and transmitting public information regarding the first block of secret bits to the second user. The second user makes use of the public information to generate a second block of secret bits.

Abstract: A system and method for securing wireless communications are provided. A method for secure communications by a first user includes estimating a channel between the first user and a second user based on a pilot signal transmitted by the second user, determining a first threshold and a second threshold based on the estimate of channel, selecting a first subset of channel estimates, signaling the first subset of channel estimates to the second user, receiving a second subset of channel estimates from the second user, for each channel estimate in the second subset of channel estimates, quantizing the channel estimate based on a relationship between a gain of the channel estimate and the first threshold and the second threshold, generating a first secret key based on quantized channel estimates, verifying that the first secret key matches a second secret key generated by the second user, and transmitting information to the second user.

Abstract: A dynamic claims adjudication system is provided that implements a dynamic claims adjudication process to provide flexible determination of the adjudication rule set to be used to adjudicate a claim for a particular prescription drug regardless of the mandates of the formulary and the rigidity of the tier into which the drug is placed on the formulary. The claims adjudication system and corresponding methods dynamically determine the adjudication rule set to be used to adjudicate a claim based on an analysis of criteria and identification of a tier changing criteria. Accordingly, the rigidity of conventional formulary based claims adjudication is eliminated in favor of dynamic and flexible real time claims adjudication.

The slots are sized so that lateral movement of the sleeve is restricted while positioned on the bars. The slots can further be sized to provide sufficient clearance above and/or below the sleeve for convenient storage, display, and removal thereof. Afterwards, the boost circuits are disabled to allow the charge pump to generate high voltages without boosting. The boost circuits may be successively enabled to boost the voltage. The boost circuits may be loadless. The voltage regulator may operate in an open loop and may include a resistive divider as a reference voltage for regulating the high voltage from the charge pump. The charge pump may include spread spectrum pump clocking to reduce electromagnetic inference for capacitor or inductor on-chip charge pumping.
