Patent number: 7810214Abstract: A hinge assembly (200) includes a housing (12), a shaft (11), a fixing pin (14), a transposition mechanism (13) and a first spring (16). The housing has a circumferential wall defining a manual slot (121) and an automatic slot (123). Each of the manual slot and the automatic slot runs through a circumferential wall thereof. The shaft defines a pin hole (1141), and the shaft is engaged in the housing. The fixing pin passes through the pin hole of the shaft. One end of the fixing pin is alternatively received in the manual slot or the automatic slot. The transposition mechanism is configured for switching the pin from the manual slot to the automatic slot. The first spring provides an elastic force causing the housing to move relative to the shaft when the pin breaks away from the manual slot.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 2007Date of Patent: October 12, 2010Assignees: Shenzhen Futaihong Precision Industry Co., Ltd., FIH (Hong Kong) LimitedInventors: An-Ming Feng, Rui-Hao Chen, Zhong-Shu Qin, Ye Liu, Chih-Wei Su, Hsiao-Hua Tu

Patent number: 7550226Abstract: A battery cover assembly (100) includes a battery cover (30), a resilient member (20), and a locking member (40). The battery cover has a latching member configured for engaging with the fastener mechanism of a housing (10), and an insertion hole (322) configured for the insertion of a latching post (120) of the housing. The resilient member is mounted on the battery cover, and has a first latching end (202) and a second latching end (204). The first latching end is secured on the battery cover. The locking member is rotatably attached on the battery cover and configured for resisting the latching post when the battery cover is in the closed position thereby preventing movement of the battery cover toward the opened position. The second latching end of the resilient member is fixed on the locking member.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2006Date of Patent: June 23, 2009Assignees: Shenzhen Futaihong Precision Industry Co., Ltd., FIH (Hong Kong) LimitedInventors: Shui-Yuan Qin, An-Ming Feng, Chia-Hua Chen, Hsiao-Hua Tu

Patent number: 7441813Abstract: A battery cover latching mechanism (300) for latching a battery cover (20) on a housing (10) of a portable electronic device. The battery cover has a fixing portion (204) defining a hollow (206) therein. The latching mechanism includes a button (30), a locking member (40) and an elastic member (60). The button (30) has an inclined surface (308). The locking member has a claw (408) engaged with the hollow and a slanted surface (414) that resists the inclined surface. The button is mounted in the housing and is movable along a first direction. When the button moves along the first direction, the locking member is driven to slide along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, so as to move the claw from a first position where the claw engages in the hollow to a second position where the claw releases from the hollow.Type: GrantFiled: April 4, 2006Date of Patent: October 28, 2008Assignees: Sutech Trading Limited, ShenZhen Futaihong Precision Industry Co., Ltd.Inventors: Zhong-Shu Qin, Peng-Jin Ge, An-Ming Feng, Hsiao-Hua Tu, Chia-Hua Chen

Publication number: 20070087263Abstract: An exemplary battery cover latching assembly (80) is used in a portable electronic device (100). The portable electronic device has a battery cover and a housing releasably mounted with the battery cover latching assembly. The housing has a cavity. The battery cover latching assembly includes a latching member, a first magnetic member, and a second magnetic member. The latching member is received in the cavity of the housing and is slidable in a first direction. The first magnetic member is mounted to the latching member. The second magnetic member is mounted to the housing. The second magnetic member cooperates with the first magnetic member to create force acting in the first direction to enable the latching member to mount the battery cover to the housing.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 1, 2006Publication date: April 19, 2007Applicant: FIH CO.,LTD.Inventors: Peng-Jin Ge, Rui-Hao Chen, An-Ming Feng, Hsiao-Hua Tu, Chia-Hua Chen
