  • Publication number: 20210005202
Abstract: A first electronic device of a local group of connected electronic devices receives a first voice command including a request for a first operation, assigns a first target device from among a local group of connected electronic devices as an in-focus device for performing the first operation, causes the first operation to be performed by the first target device via operation of a server-implemented common network service, receives a second voice command including a request for a second operation, and based on a determination that the second voice command does not include an explicit designation of a second target device and a determination that the second operation can be performed by the first target device, assigning the first target device as the in-focus device for performing the second operation.

  • Publication number: 20210004728
Abstract: This disclosure describes an arrival determination system that determines a hiking distance for a transportation request and further enables a provider device to indicate arrival for pickup based on monitoring a location of the provider device. For example, the disclosed systems utilize a hiking distance predictor model to analyze request features associated with a transportation request to determine a hiking distance based on the request features. In addition, the disclosed systems monitor a location of a provider device of a provider matched to service the transportation request to determine when the provider device is within the hiking distance of a requested pickup location. Based on determining that the provider device is within the hiking distance, the disclosed systems enable the provider device to notify a requester device that the provider has arrived for pickup.

  • Publication number: 20210006804
Abstract: A higher coding efficiency for coding a significance map indicating positions of significant transform coefficients within a transform coefficient block is achieved by the scan order by which the sequentially extracted syntax elements indicating, for associated positions within the transform coefficient block, as to whether at the respective position a significant or insignificant transform coefficient is situated, are sequentially associated to the positions of the transform coefficient block, among the positions of the transform coefficient block depends on the positions of the significant transform coefficients indicated by previously associated syntax elements. Alternatively, the first-type elements may be context-adaptively entropy decoded using contexts which are individually selected for each of the syntax elements dependent on a number of significant transform coefficients in a neighborhood of the respective syntax element, indicated as being significant by any of the preceding syntax elements.

  • Publication number: 20210000624
Abstract: Vascular remodeling devices can include a proximal section, an intermediate section, and a distal section. During deployment, the proximal section can expand from a compressed delivery state to an expanded state and anchor the device in an afferent vessel of a bifurcation. The distal section expands from the compressed delivery state to an expanded state that may be substantially planar, approximately semi-spherical, umbrella shaped, or reverse umbrella shaped. The distal section is positioned in a bifurcation junction across the neck of an aneurysm or within an aneurysm. The intermediate section allows perfusion to efferent vessels. Before or after the device is in position, embolic material may be used to treat the aneurysm. The distal section can act as a scaffolding to prevent herniation of the embolic material. The device can be used for clot retrieval with integral distal embolic protection.
