  • Patent number: 10780953
Abstract: Provided is an anchor for a ship that may facilitate retrieval of the anchor as a folding operation of the anchor is smoothly performed by improving a design of a contact portion such that a mechanical contact resistance of components that perform a folding operation of the anchor is minimized. Consequently, the anchor may be easily retrieved without cutting the wire or the iron chain, that is, without loss of the anchor in a situation in which the anchor arm is caught by an underwater structure not to be pulled out when the ship leaves a harbor after the mooring.

  • Patent number: 10783568
Abstract: Users are matched to items and recommended friends in a social merchandising system. During registration, a user profile is created for a user among a plurality of users in the peer-to-peer marketplace. To calculate a compatibility score, a social genome is determined for the user based on social networking characteristics associated with the user. Also, a merchandise genome is determined for the user based on item characteristics associated with the user. Results are organized into a feed for the user based on the compatibility score and time. Feeds display items of friends, or as influenced by social connections and interactions.

  • Patent number: 10785736
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a coexistence of a first radio access technology (RAT), such as a fifth generation (5G) new radio (NR) technology with a second RAT, such as a narrow-band internet-of-things (NB-IOT) technology. In a first aspect, a 5G NR resource block size and an NB-IOT resource block size are defined, and a compatible alignment of an NB-IOT resource block and a 5G NR resource block is identified. An offset associated with the compatible alignment is then determined in which the offset is within a threshold offset and facilitates an identification of a valid NB-IOT resource block. In a second aspect, an offset associated with a compatible alignment of a 5G NR resource block and an NB-IOT resource block is ascertained, and a channel raster is shifted according to the offset associated with the compatible alignment.

  • Patent number: 10783711
Abstract: An intelligent recommendation system and method for suggesting users perform various tasks in different reality systems to help user to maximize their productivity and achieve better satisfaction. By recognizing that a user is not efficient or unable to perform tasks well in real reality, the system suggests that the user try doing the similar task in a virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) environment and effects a physical switching to that environment for the user to practice and improve user's skill on the tasks. Further, by recognizing that user's emotions (e.g., sad or bad mood), the system further suggests the user to do certain things in the VR or AR environment to improve user's mood. The system and method continuously suggests performing tasks in VR or AR as needed, based on user's task efficiency score in real reality and any improvement occurred in RR when doing the task in VR.
