  • Publication number: 20190251449
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for structuring and training a recurrent neural network. This describes a technique that improves the ability to capture long term dependencies in recurrent neural networks by adding an unsupervised auxiliary loss at one or more anchor points to the original objective. This auxiliary loss forces the network to either reconstruct previous events or predict next events in a sequence, making truncated backpropagation feasible for long sequences and also improving full backpropagation through time.

  • Publication number: 20190240011
Abstract: A delivery system for delivering an implantable heart valve includes an outer shaft and an inner shaft that is slidingly disposable within an outer shaft lumen, the inner shaft including a distal end region. A plurality of fingers extend distally relative to the distal end region of the inner shaft and are adapted to releasably engage an implantable heart valve. A plurality of looped sheathing aids extend distally from the distal region of an inner shaft lumen and are adapted to guide the implantable heart valve back into the outer shaft lumen when the implantable heart valve is pulled back into the outer shaft lumen. Each of the plurality of looped sheathing aids include a distal petal adapted to engage tissue adjacent a native valve annulus in order to limit distal advancement of the implantable heart valve during deployment of the implantable heart valve.

  • Publication number: 20190243716
Abstract: A storage controller receives a command to delete a dataset stored in a first set of storage volumes controlled by the storage controller. In response to receiving the command, a determination is made as to whether an indicator has been enabled to protect the dataset against an accidental deletion. In response to determining that the indicator has been enabled, the dataset is copied from the first set of storage volumes to a second set of storage volumes controlled by the storage controller. In response to completion of the copying of the dataset from the first set of storage volumes to the second set of storage volumes, the command to delete the dataset stored in the first set of storage volumes is executed.

  • Publication number: 20190228002
Abstract: A data analysis system stores in-memory representation of a distributed data structure across a plurality of processors of a parallel or distributed system. Client applications interact with the in-memory distributed data structure to process queries using the in-memory distributed data structure and to modify the in-memory distributed data structure. The data analysis system creates uniform resource identifier (URI) to identify each in-memory distributed data structure. The URI can be communicated from one client application to another application using communication mechanisms outside the data analysis system, for example, by email, thereby allowing other client devices to interact with a particular in-memory distributed data structure. The in-memory distributed data structure can be a machine learning model that is trained by one client device and executed by another client device. A client application can interact with the in-memory distributed data structure using different programming languages.

  • Patent number: 10357361
Abstract: Pinch devices and access systems that can be used to secure a prosthetic heart valve to a heart valve annulus and to treat valvular insufficiency. A pinch device can be a separate expandable element from the prosthetic heart valve that is first advanced to the annulus and deployed, after which an expandable prosthetic heart valve can be advanced to within the annulus and deployed. The two elements can clamp/pinch the heart valve leaflets to hold the prosthetic heart valve in place. The pinch device can have a flexible, expandable annular frame. A combined delivery system can deliver the pinch device and prosthetic heart valve with just a single access point and aid more accurate coaxial deployment. The pinch device can be mounted near distal end of an access sheath, and a catheter for delivering the prosthetic heart valve can be passed through a lumen of the same access sheath.

  • Publication number: 20190216398
Abstract: A physiological monitor has a sensor port configured to attach and communicate with a sensor. A processor board is in communications with the sensor port and has a board digital signal processor (DSP). Firmware residing on the processor board is executable by the board DSP so as to calculate physiological parameters in response to a sensor signal received from the sensor. Upgrade tools are individually attachable to the sensor port in lieu of the sensor so as to designate to the processor board which of the physiological parameters, if any, to calculate when the sensor is attached to the sensor port.
