  • Publication number: 20180101245
Abstract: A control apparatus includes a visual display and input devices that are movable between a neutral state and non-neutral state. The control apparatus visually outputs on the visual display a visual output that is representative of a non-neutral state of an input device and whose position on the visual display is representative of the location on the control apparatus where the non-neutral input device is situated. The control apparatus can be configured to control any of a variety of pieces of equipment and employs a configuration file that is deployed on the control apparatus in order to configure it to enable it to communicate with a particular piece of equipment. Equipment-specific firmware drivers serve as an interface between the input devices and a graphics engine without the graphics engine needing to know anything about the piece of equipment itself.

  • Publication number: 20180086569
Abstract: An automated method and system for transitioning a bottle from a horizontal belt conveyor to the entrance of an air conveyor, and vice versa, from an air conveyor to a horizontal belt conveyor. An indexer in a circular arrangement moves around 180 degrees clockwise until the bottle drops into the air conveyor (e.g., pneumatic tube). This motion controls the bottle's movement; otherwise, the bottle would free-fall off the conveyor. The indexer rotary device provides control of the vial transition, keeping it vertical so it goes into the tube in a controlled manner.

  • Publication number: 20180071085
Abstract: Pinch devices and access systems that can be used to secure a prosthetic heart valve to a heart valve annulus and to treat valvular insufficiency. A pinch device can be a separate expandable element from the prosthetic heart valve that is first advanced to the annulus and deployed, after which an expandable prosthetic heart valve can be advanced to within the annulus and deployed. The two elements can clamp/pinch the heart valve leaflets to hold the prosthetic heart valve in place. The pinch device can have a flexible, expandable annular frame. A combined delivery system can deliver the pinch device and prosthetic heart valve with just a single access point and aid more accurate coaxial deployment. The pinch device can be mounted near distal end of an access sheath, and a catheter for delivering the prosthetic heart valve can be passed through a lumen of the same access sheath.
