Abstract: A motor module includes a bearing housing having a loading base, an electric unit, a bearing, and a magnetic rotor unit disposed on the bearing. In addition, a protruding portion is extending from the loading base, and the electric unit includes a printed circuit board (PCB) and sensing elements, wherein the PCB is utilized for disposing the loading base thereon. Moreover, signal circuits and motor windings are formed on the PCB around the loading base, the sensing elements are disposed around the motor windings, and the bearing is disposed at the protruding portion. Besides, the magnetic rotor unit is disposed on the motor windings, keeping a gap with the PCB; therefore, when electric current passes the motor windings, the magnetic rotor unit and the motor windings generate a flux linkage induction, so as to drive the magnetic rotor unit to rotate relative to the PCB.

Abstract: A multi-user, multiple input, multiple output network and process for transmitting data in a communication system encompassing multiple users, contemplates the steps of: a first user transmitting a first transmission frame to a base transceiver station while a second user simultaneously transmits a third transmission frame to the base station; the first and second users simultaneously transmit a second transmission frame and a fourth transmission frames respectively to the base station, with the second transmission frame being an orthogonally spread version of the first transmission frame, and the fourth transmission frame being an orthogonally spread version of the second transmission frame.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus to improve scanning operations in wireless networks are described. In one embodiment, a wireless device transmits a scan request to an access point controller to cause the access point controller to determine one or more future neighboring access points of the wireless device. Other embodiments are also described.

The signal feeding element is connected between the substrate and the first end of the first child radiator. The grounding element is connected between the substrate and the first end of the second child radiator. The first child radiator and the second child radiator form an inverted V-shape installed on the substrate.

Abstract: A replacement assembly of a handle tool comprises a handle having an axial receiving hole; an adjust unit; the adjust unit being formed with a resisting block; an opener head; the opener head having a buckling groove; a fixing unit installed at one end of the receiving hole for confining the adjust unit; the fixing unit having a positioning hole for receiving an opener head; the fixing unit having at least one through hole which is communicated to the positioning hole; wherein the resisting block enters into the buckling groove of the opener head from the through hole of the fixing unit. The fixing unit has a large head and a small waist; the adjust unit is engaged to the waist and is confined by the head to be combined with the handle.

Abstract: A programming method for a phase change memory based on the phase transformations between amorphous and crystalline phases is disclosed. The programming method comprises a current pulse with step waveform providing a first crystallization current pulse to the phase change memory and providing a second crystallization current pulse to the phase change memory. The first crystallization current pulse has a first rising edge, a first falling edge and a first peak current held for a first hold time. The second crystallization current pulse has a second peak current. The second peak current follows the first falling edge and is held for a second hold time.

Abstract: A foot protector and a knee protector for an animal are provided. The protectors both comprise a main portion. The foot protector features a single opening whereas the knee protector features two openings. The main portion is made from a thermoplastic material and an elastic element is further provided for the openings. Thus, the foot protector and the knee protector can be elastically fitted on a foot of the animal.

Abstract: A one-piece-form 3-dimentional bezel and its manufacturing method are disclosed here. The present invention utilizes a 3-dimentional frame element with one-piece-form rivet portions on a top side and on a lateral side and a 3-dimentional frame element with one-piece-form riveting holes on a top side and a lateral side to rivet 3-dimentional frame elements with each other and to complete the assemble by punching. The present invention is not necessary to utilize extra assembling processes, such as soldering, melting, adhesive or gluing process, to joint frame elements and is only to utilize the normal punching equipments to form the present one-piece-form 3-dimentional bezel.

Abstract: A battery having a universal serial bus (USB) connector is provided. The battery includes a battery control circuit, a voltage regulator circuit, a USB connector, and a device connector. The battery control circuit is used for providing a power source. The voltage regulator circuit is coupled to the battery control circuit, and used for regulating the voltage of the power source. The USB connector is coupled to the battery control circuit, and used for being connected with an external USB device and providing the power for the USB device. The device connector is coupled to the battery control circuit, used for being connected with a portable electronic device and providing the power for the portable electronic device. Therefore, the cost for purchasing subsidiary battery can be saved by using the battery of the present invention. The idea of implementing one battery with multipurpose also fits with economical benefit.

Abstract: An improved method for fabricating floating gate structures of flash memory cells having reduced and more uniform forward tunneling voltages. The method may include the steps of: forming at least two floating gates over a substrate; forming a mask over each of the floating gates, each of the masks having a portion, adjacent to a tip of a respective one of the floating gates, of a given thickness, wherein the given thicknesses of the mask portions are different from one another; and etching the masks to reduce the different given thicknesses of the mask portions to a reduced thickness wherein the reduced thickness portions of the mask are of a uniform thickness.

Abstract: There is provided an architecture (system and method) to accelerate web response time and to provide a level platform to meet the interests from both providers and users of content. The concept of user object is introduced to present user interests or disinterests. If a user's browser has already cached a particular provider object, then a corresponding user object indicates that the user is not interested in that object. Otherwise, a user can indicate his/her interests in objects specified either by a set of criteria or explicit description of objects. The web response is accelerated by generalization of the split-proxy architecture of content networking. The user is represented by the user proxy and browser proxy 34. Unlike the traditional content delivery architecture, the content procurement architecture pushes user interests close to the provider sites and minimizes the request-response time between the user proxy and the provider proxy.

Abstract: A film-type audio output apparatus includes an audio output device, at least one speaker unit, and at least one film. The at least one speaker unit is positioned at any side of the audio output device. The speaker unit can be an embedded speaker unit. The at least one film can be positioned at any or more places of an inner side and an outer side of the audio output device. When the speaker unit of the audio output device releases sound, the film positioned on the audio output device can get vibration of the sound so that the inside of the audio output device can generate resonance. Thus, the audio output apparatus can generate softer undertone and wider diapason.

Abstract: A method of forming a contact is provided. A substrate having at least two metal oxide semiconductor devices is provided and a gap is formed between the two devices. A first stress layer is formed over the substrate to cover the metal-oxide semiconductor devices and the substrate. The first stress layer is formed by first forming a first stress material layer over the substrate to cover the metal-oxide semiconductor devices and to fill the gap, the stress material inside the gap. An etching back process is then performed to remove a portion of the stress material layer inside the gap. A second stress layer and a dielectric layer are sequentially formed on the first stress layer. A portion of the second stress layer is removed to form a contact opening. A second conductive layer is filled into the contact opening to form a contact.

Abstract: A three-dimensional (3D) ornamental light has an axis, multiple loop casings and multiple pairs of connectors. The loop casings are pervious to light and are mounted rotatably on each other in a concentric arrangement. Each loop casing has an outer edge, a cavity, multiple relief bumps and multiple lighting elements. The relief bumps are formed irregularly on the outer surface of the loop casing. The lighting elements are mounted in the cavity. Each pair of the connectors is mounted on two adjacent loop casings, rotatably connects the adjacent loop casings together. The connectors of each pair are located respectively at the tip ends of each of the adjacent loop casings. With the connectors, the loop casings may rotate to locate respectively at different angular positions according to the axis to perform various visual effects.

The base is disposed on a heat source. The fins are connected with the base. The fan blows towards the fins. The Stirling engine has a power inlet disposed on the base and a power outlet connected with the fan. The Stirling engine is utilized to cool the heat source using the heat generated thereby.

Abstract: The present invention provides a flat panel display, which is characterized by comprising a display panel; a backlight assembly having a plurality of light-emitting sources arranged in a predetermined pattern; and a driving circuit coupled to the display panel and the backlight assembly. The driving circuit could be operative to receive a first signal and determine a second signal according to the first signal and the predetermined pattern of the plurality of light-emitting sources; to use the second signal to control the light emission of the plurality of light-emitting sources; to determine a third signal according to the light-emitting results of the light-emitting sources controlled by the second signal, and drive the display panel by the third signal. The backlight assembly and flat panel display disclosed in the present invention could achieve the effects of improving quality, power saving, high dynamic contrast, and high color depth.
