    Abstract: Various embodiments may provide a gyroscope. The gyroscope may include a piezoelectric substrate, an excitation transducer configured to generate a surface acoustic wave, and a sensing transducer configured to receive the surface acoustic wave generated by the excitation transducer. The gyroscope may additionally include a mass dot array between the excitation transducer and the sensing transducer, the mass dot array configured to generate a stress on the piezoelectric substrate based on a rotation of said gyroscope upon the surface acoustic wave passing through the mass dot array. The gyroscope may also include a light source, and an optical detector configured to receive one or more light beams generated by the light source to determine the rotation of the gyroscope based on a property of the one or more light beams. The property of the one or more light beams may be variable based on the stress on the piezoelectric substrate.

    Abstract: Consistent with the present disclosure, an optical communication system is provided in which data is carried over optical signals including subcarriers. The subcarriers may be modulated with the standard modulation formats noted above, but the modulation formats are selectively assigned to the subcarriers, such that some subcarriers are modulated with different standard modulation formats than others. As used herein, a “standard modulation format” is one of BPSK, and n-QAM, where n is an integer greater than one. Such n-QAM modulation formats include of 3-QAM, 4-QAM (QPSK), 8-QAM, 16-QAM, 64-QAM, 128-QAM, and 256-QAM. By selecting the number of subcarriers and the types of modulation formats employed, an optical signal with an effective SE that is between that of the standard modulation formats can be generated for transmission over a distances that more closely matches the link distance.

A vector is generated for each of multiple content items and is used to assign its corresponding content item to a group among multiple groups. A set of content items that is assigned to a particular group of the plurality of groups is identified. For each pair of content items in the set, a similarity score is generated and used to determine whether to classify the pair as similar to each other. Similarity data is updated if to identify the pair if it is determined to classify the pair of content items as similar to each other. The similarity data associates a first content item with a second content item. The second content item is prevented from being presented to a particular user for a period of time after the first content item is presented to the particular user.

    Abstract: A joint mobilization apparatus includes a pulling unit and a power unit. The reciprocation mechanism is driven by the motor to reciprocate relative to the shell member, so as to pull the rope set to reciprocate the wearable member set and patient's joint part. By using the power unit to drive the pulling unit to pull reciprocatingly for mobilizing the patient's joint part, instead of the therapist's treatment, the therapist's burden in physical strength can be reduced. Furthermore, the joint mobilization apparatus can provide the user to execute various muscle training modes.
