    Abstract: The disclosure relates to technology for iterative localization and channel estimation in a communication system. A radio network node detects user location information from user equipment in a geographic region, where the geographic region includes a location cluster having multiple location levels. A location signature profile is formed for each level based on the location signature of a corresponding location level in the cluster, and a filter is generated for each level based on the location signature. Upon application of the filter that matches the location level of the location user information, the channel is estimated and the user location information is updated based on the channel estimation. The process is repeated until the user location information converges with a preselected convergence value.

    Abstract: A computer-implemented method for denoising image data includes a computer system receiving an input image comprising noisy image data and denoising the input image using a deep multi-scale network comprising a plurality of multi-scale networks sequentially connected. Each respective multi-scale network performs a denoising process which includes dividing the input image into a plurality of image patches and denoising those image patches over multiple levels of decomposition using a threshold-based denoising process. The threshold-based denoising process denoises each respective image patch using a threshold which is scaled according to an estimation of noise present in the respective image patch. The noising process further comprises the assembly of a denoised image by averaging over the image patches.

    Abstract: A grant may allocate resources for an uplink transmission by a user equipment (UE) in a system using beamforming, where the resources may be used by the UE to transmit data or control information during a time that a base station is listening in a certain receive beam direction. A UE may be in communication with a base station using beamformed transmissions, and the base station may send a resource grant to the UE for uplink transmissions that correspond to a receive beam direction of a beamsweeping operation. The UE may then transmit data and/or uplink control information to the base station according to the resource grant and when the base station is listening in the corresponding direction. In some examples, the UE may send the uplink transmission to the serving base station, and transmit a random access channel to another base station based on the beamsweeping operation.

    Abstract: A processing system processes transactions between users and merchant systems. The processing system extracts, for a group of transactions, features from each user transaction and generates, for each feature, a feature vector representing each transaction of the group of transactions. The processing system computes, for each feature vector shared between transactions, a similarity between each transaction and all other transactions of the group of transactions. The processing system clusters the transactions represented by the feature vectors via a hierarchical clustering algorithm based on the similarity values. The processing system, for each cluster of transactions, determines a volume of the cluster over time. For each cluster, the payment processing system determines whether the change in the volume of the cluster over time is anomalous or normal. If a cluster experienced anomalous growth, the payment processing system identifies the cluster as a potential new fraudulent transaction pattern.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for implementing private allocated networks in a virtual infrastructure are presented. One method operation creates virtual switches in one or more hosts in the virtual infrastructure. Each port in the virtual switches is associated with a private allocated network (PAN) from a group of possible PANs. In one embodiment, one or more PANs share the same physical media for data transmission. The intranet traffic within each PAN is not visible to nodes that are not connected to the each PAN. In another operation, the method defines addressing mode tables for the intranet traffic within each PAN.
