Abstract: In an example embodiment, profile and/or usage data of a social networking service is leveraged to automatically generate potential career paths for users of the social networking service. Additionally, specific recommendations as to actions the users can take to increase their odds of progressing along particular career paths can be determined, and these recommendations can be shared with users. Both recommendations may be performed in a manner that is scalable for personalized service.

Abstract: A substrate structure includes a set of nanosheet layers stacked upon a substrate. The substrate structure includes a p-channel region and an n-channel region. The substrate structure further includes divots within the p-channel region and the n-channel region. A first liner is formed within the divots of the n-channel region. The first liner is formed of a material having a positive charge. A second liner is formed within the divots of the p-channel region. The second liner is formed of a material having a negative charge. A p-type epitaxy is deposited in the p-channel region to form first air gap spacers of the divots in the p-channel region. An n-type epitaxy is deposited in the n-channel region to form second air gap spacers of the divots in the n-channel region.

The transmitting side includes a parameter initializing module, a parameter calculation module, and a subframe data module. The receiving side includes a system function configuration module, a downlink initial synchronization module, an error control module, a time-frequency estimation module, and a data parsing module. The parameter initializing module is configured to construct simulation parameters, configure a subframe structure, and simulate a raw data block to be transmitted from a protocol data unit packet of a media access control layer to a physical layer. The parameter calculation module is configured to calculate set simulation parameters. The subframe data module is configured to provide independent data for an air-interface monitoring device, the data being in a modular design and independently corresponding to each submodule.

Abstract: Electromagnetically-induced cement concrete crack self-healing diisocyanate microcapsules include raw materials, in parts by weight, comprising 15-55 parts of petroleum resin, 5-10 parts of paraffin, 5-10 parts of polyethylene wax, 3-10 parts of magnetic iron powder and 20-67 parts of diisocyanate. The diisocyanate microcapsules use the diisocyanate as a core material, and the petroleum resin/paraffin/polyethylene wax/magnetic iron powder mixture as the shell of the capsule. When micro cracks occur in the concrete, the crack propagation can break partial of the microcapsule inside, the diisocyanate inside the microcapsules flows out and diffuses into the crack and is subjected to a solidifying reaction with water in the concrete, so that the crack is repaired in time; and for the microcapsules that are not broken by cracks, external electromagnetic field can be applied to melt the shell to release the diisocyanate inside, thereby diffusing into cracks and solidify with water to repair them.

Abstract: A unipolar resistive ladder fluid-level sensor is provided. The sensor may include a tube immersed in a fluid, the tube containing a plurality of unipolar switches, and a float concentrically surrounding the tube. The float is configured to float in the fluid and to move relative to the tube in an axial direction as a height of the fluid level changes. The fluid-level sensor may further include a permanent magnet coupled to the float, wherein the plurality of unipolar switches are responsive to a magnetic field produced by the permanent magnet, and wherein the permanent magnet is one of: radially magnetized, and axially magnetized. In some approaches, the unipolar sensor is either a south-pole or north-pole activated sensor. In some approaches, at least one of the unipolar switches changes position in response to a negative magnetic field in an activation range of less than 1.0 millimeter.

The controller controls the transport unit to transport a second medium different in thickness from a first medium in a first transport direction and then in a second transport direction opposite to the first transport direction. The positioning mechanism moves the first reader from a first position to a second position by using a drive force by which the transport unit transports the second medium in the first transport direction. The positioning mechanism maintains the first reader at the second position while the second medium transported by the transport unit in the second transport direction is passing the first reader, and moves the first reader from the second position to the first position after the first reader reads the image on the first side of the second medium.

Abstract: The present invention teaches a signal processing method and a signal processing device for simplifying TCON. The method includes the steps of: receiving a low voltage differential signaling (LVDS) signal and decoding the LVDS signal to obtain TCON signal width, period, and look-up table. The LVDS signal includes a clock signal and five data signals. TCON parameters are encoded in the empty differential pairs in the first bits of the last two data signals within continuous cycles. The TCON parameters include TCON signal width, period, and look-up table. By the present invention, TCON obtains TCON parameters from LVDS in a same sequence as they are stored in prior art's EEPROM. TCON resource is as such saved, and an external EEPROM may be omitted for lower production cost, under identical operation condition.

In one aspect, a method includes: (1) obtaining a desired temperature for an interior of the vehicle; (2) obtaining a desired temperature for water in a water storage tank of the vehicle; (3) determining a current interior temperature; (4) and a current water temperature; (5) if the current water temperature is below the desired water temperature, and if the current interior temperature is below the desired interior temperature, operating a system in a first mode to concurrently heat the water and heat the interior; and (6) if the current water temperature is below the desired water temperature, and if the current interior temperature is above the desired interior temperature, operating the system in a second mode to concurrently heat the water and cool the interior.

According to one embodiment, an email is received by a network security device protecting a private network. A value of at least one header field of the received email is parsed to extract a display name and an email address. A determination is made regarding whether the received email is associated with an external domain. When it is determined that the received email is associated with an external domain, then a further determination is made regarding whether the received email potentially involves sender impersonation based on a comparison of the display name with display names associated with users of the private network meeting a predetermined or configurable similarity threshold.

The apparatus comprises a stabilizer tank; a buffer tank connected to the stabilizer tank; a filter frame disposed beneath the buffer tank, and connected to the buffer tank; a liquid receiving tank disposed beneath the filter frame; an electronic balance disposed at bottom of the liquid receiving tank; and a seconds counter. The testing method is to add a certain amount of calculated testing tank into the filter frame, then introduce a gas with a certain pressure into the stabilizer tank, fill the filter frame through the buffer tank, then open a valve at bottom of the filter frame, measure a mass of discharged mother liquid in the filter frame, measure time of the filtering process, and sample and analyze the filtered filter cake and the mother liquid according to actual needs; subsequently, perform cleaning and drying processes sequentially according to such method.

Abstract: An inner brake motor includes a stator assembly, a rotor assembly connected to the stator assembly, and a magnetic brake assembly connected to the rotor assembly. The rotor assembly has a rotor cover sleeved on the periphery of the stator assembly. The magnetic brake assembly has a movable piece selectively attached to or detached from the rotor assembly. A convex-concave brake structure is formed between the movable piece and the rotor cover. The magnetic brake assembly brakes by frictionally engaging with the rotor assembly through the brake structure, thereby achieving the effect of simplifying the brake structure and reducing the volume of the inner brake motor.
