    Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses associated with the service layer may provide clustering management capabilities for sensor nodes in M2M/IoT SL platforms, via conventional clustering algorithm reselection and performance optimization, which may be based on service layer analytics. Clustering functionality may be adapted not only within the individual network model and optimization goals employed by each conventional clustering algorithm, but the conventional clustering algorithms themselves may be changed or reconfigured using service layer functionality. These re-configurations may be based on analytics indicating that performance of a sensor node is sub-optimal and may occur within a significantly larger time scale when compared to dynamic routing decisions on a per-message basis.

    Abstract: A variable voltage converter for an electric drive system has upper and lower switching devices in series between positive and negative buses. An inductance couples a junction between the switching devices to a DC battery. A controller is configured to drive the switches according to PWM gate signals based on an expected boost ratio of the converter. The PWM gate signals have a nominal dead-time insertion for both the upper and lower switching devices when the expected boost ratio is greater than a predetermined boost ratio. In order to extend a range of achievable boost ratios during regeneration operation, the PWM gate signals are without dead-time insertion for the upper switching device and the lower switching device remains continuously off when the expected boost ratio is less than the predetermined boost ratio.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining properties of a tissue or tissues imaged by optical coherence tomography (OCT). In one embodiment the backscatter and attenuation of the OCT optical beam is measured and based on these measurements and indicium such as color is assigned for each portion of the image corresponding to the specific value of the backscatter and attenuation for that portion. The image is then displayed with the indicia and a user can then determine the tissue characteristics. In an alternative embodiment the tissue characteristics is classified automatically by a program given the combination of backscatter and attenuation values.
