Abstract: Embodiments of the present application relate to a method, device, and system for managing, using, and updating application resources. A method includes obtaining, by one or more processors, an application development kit, wherein the application development kit comprises resources for one or more application components, obtaining, by the one or more processors, the resources for at least one of the one or more application component resources included in the application development kit, packaging, by the one or more processors, at least one or more application component resources to obtain one or more application resource kits, wherein a unit of resources organization for the one or more application resource kits is the one or more application components, and providing the one or more application resource kits to a client device in response to obtaining a request for the one or more application resource kits.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses associated with the service layer may provide clustering management capabilities for sensor nodes in M2M/IoT SL platforms, via conventional clustering algorithm reselection and performance optimization, which may be based on service layer analytics. Clustering functionality may be adapted not only within the individual network model and optimization goals employed by each conventional clustering algorithm, but the conventional clustering algorithms themselves may be changed or reconfigured using service layer functionality. These re-configurations may be based on analytics indicating that performance of a sensor node is sub-optimal and may occur within a significantly larger time scale when compared to dynamic routing decisions on a per-message basis.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting an indication for coordination of 3rd generation partnership project long-term evolution (3GPP LTE) and wireless local area network (WLAN) in a wireless communication system is provided. In a cell-specific scheme, an eNodeB (eNB) transmits a first indication of WLAN offloading support to a mobility management entity (MME), and receives a second indication of applying different charging rules from the eNB. Alternatively, in a user equipment (UE)-specific scheme, the eNB transmits a first indication of WLAN offloading support to the MME, receives a second indication of which bearer can be offloaded or not from the eNB, and applies offloading for a specific UE according to the second indication.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting authorization information for vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication in a wireless communication system is provided. Authorization information for at least one of a vehicle user equipment (UE) or a road side unit (RSU) UE is transmitted. The authorization information for at least one of a V-UE or a RSU UE may be transmitted via various messages.

Abstract: The present invention provides a coating additive (co)polymer comprising, as (co)polymerized units, by dry weight based on total dry weight of the (co)polymer, from 20% to 60%, at least one acetoacetoxy or acetoacetamide functional ethylenically unsaturated monomer, and from 40% to 80% at least one water soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer. It further provides a coating formulation comprising higher than 0.04% by dry weight based on total dry weight of the coating formulation, the acetoacetoxy or acetoacetamide functional ethylenically unsaturated monomer.

Abstract: A variable voltage converter for an electric drive system has upper and lower switching devices in series between positive and negative buses. An inductance couples a junction between the switching devices to a DC battery. A controller is configured to drive the switches according to PWM gate signals based on an expected boost ratio of the converter. The PWM gate signals have a nominal dead-time insertion for both the upper and lower switching devices when the expected boost ratio is greater than a predetermined boost ratio. In order to extend a range of achievable boost ratios during regeneration operation, the PWM gate signals are without dead-time insertion for the upper switching device and the lower switching device remains continuously off when the expected boost ratio is less than the predetermined boost ratio.

Abstract: A motor for a laundry appliance includes a drive shaft coupled to a drum at a first end. The rotor frame is coupled proximate the second end of the drive shaft, where the rotor frame includes at least one polymeric material. A central hub includes a core and a perimetrical ring that extends circumferentially around the core. A plurality of recesses are defined within a planar surface of the perimetrical ring, wherein a portion of the polymeric material is received within the plurality of recesses to secure the rotor frame to the central hub.

Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product, include extracting information related to one or more processes of one or more applications running on a virtual machine from a memory of the virtual machine, building at least one first application signature based on the extracted information, and identifying the one or more applications running on the virtual machine by matching the at least one first application signature with one or more second application signatures previously stored.

Abstract: An electronic device and a fingerprint recognition method are provided. The electronic device includes: a fingerprint recognition sensor configured to capture, according to a swipe mode or a press mode, a user fingerprint in an area displayed on a touchscreen; at least one memory configured to store a fingerprint template; at least one processor configured to determine and set a fingerprint recognition mode in a first display area; and the touchscreen configured to detect a first input in the first display area; where the processor is further configured to instruct the fingerprint recognition sensor to capture a user fingerprint according to the set mode and match the fingerprint captured by the fingerprint recognition sensor with the fingerprint template.

Abstract: An instant message is sent from within an instant message conversation from a terminal computing device to an instant messaging server. A shortcut operation item is displayed on the terminal computing device according to an instruction received from the instant messaging server, where the shortcut operation item is associated with a service task further associated with content of the sent instant message. A predetermined execution operation associated with the shortcut operation item is received by the terminal computing device. The service task associated with the shortcut operation item is initiated by sending a request to execute the service task to the instant messaging server. An instruction is received from the instant messaging server to display an execution result of the service task, and display of the execution result of the service task is initiated on the terminal computing device.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining properties of a tissue or tissues imaged by optical coherence tomography (OCT). In one embodiment the backscatter and attenuation of the OCT optical beam is measured and based on these measurements and indicium such as color is assigned for each portion of the image corresponding to the specific value of the backscatter and attenuation for that portion. The image is then displayed with the indicia and a user can then determine the tissue characteristics. In an alternative embodiment the tissue characteristics is classified automatically by a program given the combination of backscatter and attenuation values.

Abstract: Disclosed is a display apparatus includes: a flat display panel; and a liquid crystal lens, the liquid crystal lens being positioned in a light emergent direction of the display panel, the liquid crystal lens being used for converging light emitted by the display panel towards a center plane, and the center plane being perpendicular to the display panel and passing through a vertical center line of the display panel.

Abstract: Semiconductor devices and methods of forming the same include forming semiconductor fins on a semiconductor substrate. A bottom source/drain region is formed in the semiconductor substrate. First charged dielectric spacers are formed on sidewalls of the semiconductor fins. A gate stack is formed over the bottom source/drain region. Second charged dielectric spacers are formed on sidewalls of the fin above the gate stack. The fins are recessed to a height below a top level of the second charged dielectric spacers. A top source/drain region is grown from the recessed fins.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a weighing method of a touchscreen terminal, and a touchscreen terminal. When a to-be-weighed object is placed in a preset area of a touchscreen of a touchscreen terminal, a reported first capacitance value and reported coordinates of a compensation point are obtained. The first capacitance value is compensated according to a compensation relationship, the coordinates of the compensation point, and the first capacitance value to obtain a second capacitance value. In this way, no additional external structure is needed for the touchscreen terminal, making the touchscreen terminal convenient to carry.

In one example embodiment, a method is provided comprising accessing or receiving, from a device, at least one image, and obtaining one or more words contained in the image. Location information associated with the device may also be obtained. Thereafter, causing to query a set of records associated with the image based on the obtained one or more words contained in the image and the location information of the device. In some embodiments, after receiving from the set of records, one or more matching records, details from the received one or more matching records is displayed on the device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for an implantable neurostimulator system comprising an array of microelectrodes, a pair of current drivers, and a dynamic current allocation network (DCAN). Each current driver in the pair of current drivers is configured to deliver a respective portion of an electrical signal to the array of microelectrodes to deliver the desired electrical stimulation through the array of microelectrodes to the subject. The DCAN is coupled to the pair of current drivers and the array of microelectrodes to selectively electrically connect each of the pair of the current drivers to individual microelectrodes in the array of microelectrodes to deliver the electrical signal to selective collections of less than all microelectrodes in the array of microelectrodes to deliver the desired electrical stimulation. The pair of current drivers and the DCAN are arranged in respective or a common housing configured to be implanted into the subject.

Abstract: Modular network switches and other computer systems are described herein. A modular network switch can include a latching device for installing and removing computer modules (e.g., line cards) from an associated cabinet or enclosure. The network switch can also include interconnected computer modules (e.g., line cards, fabric cards, control modules, etc.) that include circuit boards oriented parallel to the flow of cooling air through the cabinet in the absence of a backplane or midplane oriented perpendicular to the air flow. The absence of such backplanes and/or midplanes provides a more direct air flow path through the cabinet, thereby enabling a more efficient flow of cooling air and lower operating temperatures. Additionally, the network switch can include an orthogonal arrangement of data planes, control planes, and/or power planes that can be efficiently interconnected to increase operational speed and further facilitate the flow of cooling air through the computer cabinet.

Abstract: Factors for extending the ability of isolated pluripotent stem cells to generate extraembryonic lineages in vivo, following in vitro culture, herein, chemical extenders of pluripotency (CEP). Methods of extending the ability of a pluripotent cell to generate embryonic and extraembryonic lineages. The cell to be reprogrammed is contacted with effective amounts of the CEPs for a sufficient period of time to reprogram the cell into a chemically induced extended pluripotent cell (ciEPSC). ciEPSC are identified as an extended pluripotent cell based on properties including: (i) morphologically and (ii) functionally for example, based on their ability contribute to both TE and ICM, in vivo. The ciEPSCs can be cultured or induced to differentiate into cells of a desired type, and used in a number of applications, including but not limited to cell therapy and tissue engineering.

Abstract: A method of determining an energy-efficient operating point of a machine tool of a machine tool system with which identical workpieces for processing can be supplied to the machine tool sequentially in time. The machine tool has an operating point dependent machine cycle time and an operating point dependent power demand. The machine tool system has at least two machine tools and has a system cycle time, and the machine cycle time is shorter than the system cycle time. The method includes determining the energy-efficient operating point in accordance with a machine cycle time dependent characteristic energy demand function of the machine tool. The characteristic energy demand function represents a machine cycle time dependent energy demand of the machine tool over the system cycle time. A corresponding device and a machine tool system are also described.
