Abstract: Cathode material from exhausted lithium ion batteries are dissolved in a solution for extracting the useful elements Co (cobalt), Ni (nickel), Al (Aluminum) and Mn (manganese) to produce active cathode materials for new batteries. The solution includes compounds of desirable materials such as cobalt, nickel, aluminum and manganese dissolved as compounds from the exhausted cathode material of spent cells. Depending on a desired proportion, or ratio, of the desired materials, raw materials are added to the solution to achieve the desired ratio of the commingled compounds for the recycled cathode material for new cells. The desired materials precipitate out of solution without extensive heating or separation of the desired materials into individual compounds or elements. The resulting active cathode material has the predetermined ratio for use in new cells, and avoids high heat typically required to separate the useful elements because the desired materials remain commingled in solution.

Abstract: An object area measurement method and an apparatus are provided, relating to the computer vision and deep learning technology. The method includes acquiring an original image with a spatial resolution, the original image including a target object; acquiring an object identification model including at least two sets of classification models; generating one or more original image blocks based on the original image; performing operations on each original image block: scaling each original image block at at least two scaling levels to obtain scaled image blocks with at least two sizes, the scaled image blocks respectively corresponding to the at least two sets of classification models, and inputting the scaled image blocks into the object identification model to obtain an identification result of the target object; and determining an area of the target object based on the respective identification results of the one or more original image blocks and the spatial resolution.

Abstract: A display apparatus and a pixel circuit thereof are provided. The pixel circuit is configured to drive a light-emitting diode (LED). The pixel circuit includes a driving transistor, a switch, a data writing circuit, and a voltage selector. The switch is turned on during a data-writing time period, and cut-off during a laser time period. The data writing circuit transports a data voltage to a control terminal of the driving transistor during the data-writing time period. During the data-writing time period, a second terminal of the LED receives a first reference voltage, and during the laser time period, the second terminal of the LED receives a second reference voltage. The first reference voltage and the second reference voltage are different.

The control logic further causes a negative voltage signal to be applied to a first plurality of word lines of a data bock of the memory device during the program verify recovery phase of the program operation, wherein each of the first plurality of word lines is coupled to a corresponding memory cell of a first plurality of memory cells in a string of memory cells in the data block, the first plurality of word lines comprising a selected word line associated with the program operation and one or more data word lines adjacent to the selected word line.

Abstract: Systems and methods for inhibiting translocation of ions across ion exchange barriers include an eluent generator having an ion source reservoir with a first electrode, an eluent generation chamber with a second electrode, an ion exchange barrier disposed therebetween, and means for reversing the polarity of a voltage or current applied across the first and second electrodes. A first polarity voltage or current applied across the electrodes generates an electric field that promotes translocation of eluent counter ions from the reservoir across the barrier, where the counter ions combine with eluent ions electrolytically generated in the chamber. By reversing the polarity of the voltage or current across the electrodes, the resulting electric field inhibits translocation of counter ions across the barrier from the reservoir into the chamber. Reverse voltage or current bias reduces counter ion concentration in the resting chamber to prevent exhaustion of ion suppressor capacity during start up.

Abstract: The present application relates to cosmetic compositions and in particular, to skintightening compositions and to compositions that improve the appearance of the skin by providing skin-tightening improvements to the skin, for treatment of, for example, eye bags, facial wrinkles and other skin imperfections, the cosmetic compositions comprising a polyvalent silicate; at least one film former, and a carboxylic acid wherein the pH of the composition is in the range 6.0 to 11.2 wherein the composition provides a tightening effect on application to the skin. The present invention provides a composition which provides an efficient tightening product yet with good natural skin shine but without the white residue appearance associated with known products.

An electrolysis tank is provided on the horizontal moving mechanism. A workpiece to be machined is placed in the electrolysis tank. The tool electrode includes a metal wire and abrasive materials distributed on a surface of the metal wire. The tool electrode and the workpiece to be machined are electrically connected with a pulse power source. A current sensor is arranged between the workpiece and the pulse power source. A data acquisition card is connected to the current sensor; the data acquisition card is electrically connected with an industrial personal computer.

The example method also includes determining a second set of BPLs based on a capability of full-duplex operation with at least one BPL of the first set of BPLs. Additionally, the example method includes performing measurements for the second set of BPLs. The example method also includes communicating using full-duplex operation by transmitting or receiving via a BPL of the first set of BPLs while also performing the other of transmitting or receiving via a BPL of the second set of BPLs.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a framework to infer a user's value for a particular attribute based upon a multi-task machine learning process with uncertainty weighting that incorporates signals from multiple contexts is provided. In an example embodiment, the framework aims to measure a level of a user attribute under a certain context. Rather than attempting to devise a universal, one-size-fits-all value for the attribute, the framework acknowledges that the user's value for that attribute can vary depending on context and factors in the context under which the user's attribute levels are measured. Multiple contexts are defined depending on different situations where users and entities such as companies and organizations need to evaluate user attribute levels. Signals for attribute levels are then collected for each context. Machine learning models are utilized to estimate attribute values for different contexts. Multi-task deep learning is used to level attributes from different contexts.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a control channel configuration method, a base station, and a terminal device. The method includes: determining, by a base station, a configuration of a time-frequency resource unit from at least two configurations of a time-frequency resource unit of a control channel; and sending, by the base station, indication information to a terminal device, where the indication information is used to indicate the configuration of the time-frequency resource unit, and the at least two configurations of a time-frequency resource unit include a first configuration and a second configuration. In the embodiments of this application, the base station can flexibly configure the time-frequency resource unit of the control channel. In addition, flexibly configuring a time-frequency resource unit can reduce a probability that time-frequency resource units of different structures are blocked, thereby reducing complexity of detecting the control channel by the terminal device.
