    Abstract: Cathode material from exhausted lithium ion batteries are dissolved in a solution for extracting the useful elements Co (cobalt), Ni (nickel), Al (Aluminum) and Mn (manganese) to produce active cathode materials for new batteries. The solution includes compounds of desirable materials such as cobalt, nickel, aluminum and manganese dissolved as compounds from the exhausted cathode material of spent cells. Depending on a desired proportion, or ratio, of the desired materials, raw materials are added to the solution to achieve the desired ratio of the commingled compounds for the recycled cathode material for new cells. The desired materials precipitate out of solution without extensive heating or separation of the desired materials into individual compounds or elements. The resulting active cathode material has the predetermined ratio for use in new cells, and avoids high heat typically required to separate the useful elements because the desired materials remain commingled in solution.

The method includes acquiring an original image with a spatial resolution, the original image including a target object; acquiring an object identification model including at least two sets of classification models; generating one or more original image blocks based on the original image; performing operations on each original image block: scaling each original image block at at least two scaling levels to obtain scaled image blocks with at least two sizes, the scaled image blocks respectively corresponding to the at least two sets of classification models, and inputting the scaled image blocks into the object identification model to obtain an identification result of the target object; and determining an area of the target object based on the respective identification results of the one or more original image blocks and the spatial resolution.

The data writing circuit transports a data voltage to a control terminal of the driving transistor during the data-writing time period. During the data-writing time period, a second terminal of the LED receives a first reference voltage, and during the laser time period, the second terminal of the LED receives a second reference voltage.     Abstract: Systems and methods for inhibiting translocation of ions across ion exchange barriers include an eluent generator having an ion source reservoir with a first electrode, an eluent generation chamber with a second electrode, an ion exchange barrier disposed therebetween, and means for reversing the polarity of a voltage or current applied across the first and second electrodes. A first polarity voltage or current applied across the electrodes generates an electric field that promotes translocation of eluent counter ions from the reservoir across the barrier, where the counter ions combine with eluent ions electrolytically generated in the chamber. By reversing the polarity of the voltage or current across the electrodes, the resulting electric field inhibits translocation of counter ions across the barrier from the reservoir into the chamber. Reverse voltage or current bias reduces counter ion concentration in the resting chamber to prevent exhaustion of ion suppressor capacity during start up.

    Abstract: In an example embodiment, a framework to infer a user's value for a particular attribute based upon a multi-task machine learning process with uncertainty weighting that incorporates signals from multiple contexts is provided. In an example embodiment, the framework aims to measure a level of a user attribute under a certain context. Rather than attempting to devise a universal, one-size-fits-all value for the attribute, the framework acknowledges that the user's value for that attribute can vary depending on context and factors in the context under which the user's attribute levels are measured. Multiple contexts are defined depending on different situations where users and entities such as companies and organizations need to evaluate user attribute levels. Signals for attribute levels are then collected for each context. Machine learning models are utilized to estimate attribute values for different contexts. Multi-task deep learning is used to level attributes from different contexts.
