    Abstract: A computer-implemented method for classifying alignments of paired nucleic acid sequence reads is disclosed. A plurality of paired nucleic acid sequence reads is received, wherein each read is comprised of a first tag and a second tag separated by an insert region. Potential alignments for the first and second tags of each read to a reference sequence is determined, wherein the potential alignments satisfies a minimum threshold mismatch constraint. Potential paired alignments of the first and second tags of each read are identified, wherein a distance between the first and second tags of each potential paired alignment is within an estimated insert size range. An alignment score is calculated for each potential paired alignment based on a distance between the first and second tags and a total number of mismatches for each tag.

    Abstract: The present invention provides methods and systems for a multimodal, portable imaging platform that can be easily installed on a mobile phone or other mobile communication devices carrying a camera. The portable imaging system includes an electronic device with a camera, a base attachment, and at least two interchangeable imaging heads. The base attachment is configured to connect to the digital device on one side and at least two removable, interchangeable imaging heads on the other side. The connected imaging head is in optical communication with the camera. Switching between different imaging modalities is as simple as switching between the interchangeable imaging heads. Each removable imaging head contains its own light source (or is optically connected to a laser diode disposed in the base attachment), lens, and/or optical filters that can be attached quickly to the same base attachment.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a preparation system of ethylene by ethanol dehydration and device thereof. The device includes an ethanol dehydration reaction system, a quenching compression system, an alkaline washing system, a molecular sieve drying system, an ethylene purification system and a propylene refrigeration cycle system. Part of ethylene produced by the ethylene purification system are used as circulating ethylene in the molecular sieve drying system for desorption regeneration of molecular sieve drying towers. The molecular sieve drying system includes the steps: (1) feeding crude ethylene and water from the alkaline washing system into the molecular sieve drying system, and after removing the water therefrom, feeding the obtained crude ethylene into the ethylene purification system; and (2) feeding part of the products of ethylene, as the circulating ethylene, produced by the ethylene purification system into the molecular sieve drying system.

    Abstract: An electronic device such as a speaker device may have a curved housing characterized by a vertical longitudinal axis. A layer of fabric may cover the curved housing. A touch sensor may be used to detect touch input on the layer of fabric. The touch sensor may include capacitive touch sensor electrodes including drive lines and sense lines. In some arrangements, the touch sensor is formed from conductive strands in the layer of fabric. In other arrangements, the touch sensor is formed from conductive traces on a substrate. The substrate may be formed from portions of the curved housing or may be formed from a layer that is separate from the housing. Light-emitting components and/or fabric with different visual characteristics may be used to mark where the touch-sensitive regions of the fabric are located. The touch-sensitive regions may be shaped as media control symbols.

The method includes extracting semantic features in a semantic domain from semantic action labels, transforming the semantic features from the semantic domain into mixed features in a mixed domain, and storing the mixed features in a feature database. The method further includes extracting visual features in a visual domain from a video stream and determining if the visual features indicate an unseen action in the video stream. If no unseen action is determined, applying an offline classification model to the visual features to identify seen actions, assigning identifiers to the identified seen actions, transforming the visual features from the visual domain into mixed features in the mixed domain, and storing the mixed features and seen action identifiers in the feature database.
