    Abstract: A methods and apparatuses for encoding or decoding a segment in a coded picture. The decoding may include obtaining from a bitstream a value of a first codeword that indicates whether the coded picture may contain bi-directional inter coded segments or not. The decoding may include, based on the value of the first codeword, deriving one or more parameter values by either (a) decoding one or more parameters from the bitstream to obtain the one or more parameter values or (b) inferring the one or more parameter values. The decoding may include decoding the segment in the coded picture based on the one or more parameter values. The encoding may include encoding the first codeword to the bitstream and determining whether to encode one or more parameter values in the bitstream based on a determination of whether the coded picture will contain bi-directional inter coded segments or not.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for multiple downlink control information (DCI) message handling for multiple control resource set (CORESET) groups. In one aspect, a user equipment (UE) may provide separate or joint feedback for data messages received from different CORESET groups. In some examples, the UE may be configured with code block group (CBG)-based transmissions for a component carrier (CC) or a CORESET group in a CC. If implementing a dynamic codebook, the UE may track separate transport block (TB)-based and CBG-based downlink assignment indexes (DAIs) for each CORESET group or may track joint TB-based and CBG-based DAIs across the set of CORESET groups to handle the CBG configuration. Additionally, or alternatively, if implementing a semi-static codebook, the UE may apply skipping rules across the set of CORESET groups or separately for each CORESET group to reduce signaling overhead.

    Abstract: In an indoor environment on fire, automatic deployment of sensors disposed on, beneath or over the floor to look upward the ceiling to observe a body of smoke and flame risen near the ceiling allows important information regarding states and dynamics of the body of smoke and flame to be gathered at an early stage of fire (e.g. before arrival of firefighters). By distributing the sensors over the indoor environment, the states and dynamics of the body of smoke and flame are monitored holistically (i.e. as a whole) even at the early stage of fire. Such information is useful to predict development of the fire. In one implementation, a sensor is held in an infrastructure sensor holder mounted on the ceiling during normal time. Upon detecting occurrence of fire, the sensor drops from the holder to land on the floor and orients a sensing direction vertically upward to perform monitoring.

For each weight in a sequence until all weights are loaded: weight platform is relatively rapidly moved downwards from an initial position, lifting a first-stage weight by a weight disk, and starting to load the first-stage weight starts; the first-stage weight is displaced relatively slowly when the first-stage weight communicates with a second-stage weight via corresponding lifting components for the first time; after the first-stage weight is completely separated from the second-stage weight, relatively rapidly displacing the weight platform downwards again until a gap between the first-stage weight and the second-stage weight reaches half of a pre-set gap value. The method provides control over the stability of the weights, effectively solving the weight shaking problem and improving testing efficiency.
