Abstract: Novel methods of ChIP-seq are disclosed herein. These methods of ChIP-seq employ carrier DNA to prevent loss of DNA samples. The greater DNA yields achieved by this invention permit ChIP-seq of a small number of cells, permitting epigenetic analysis of primary cells of limited quantity.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a holographic reproducing apparatus comprising: a light source configured to supply a reproducing light beam to be incident to a photorefractive crystal, wherein the photorefractive crystal has holographic images recorded therein in a plurality of different angles respectively; a reflective mirror configured to reflect the reproducing light beam emitted from the light source to the photorefractive crystal; and a driving mechanism connected to the reflective mirror and configured to drive the reflective mirror to move on a plane elliptical arc, the plane elliptical arc is defined by using the light source and the photorefractive crystal as two mathematical focuses and using a predetermined constant, so that an incident angle of the reproducing light beam to be incident to the photorefractive crystal varies to form a plurality of reproducing light beams in different angles to be incident to the photorefractive crystal in sequence.

Abstract: The present invention provides a system and accompanying method for deriving spatial sequence of multiple objects on an interactive surface. The system includes an interactive surface and multiple physical objects. Each object is placed within a finite three-dimensional space on the interactive surface, and embedded with an RFID tag. The interactive surface further includes an RF module, an antenna, a host, an adjustable matching network, a channel switch, and an output module. The host instructs the channel switch to change the parameters of the components of the adjustable matching network to generate a series of resonance frequencies. And the host instructs the antenna to read the RFID tags at the series of resonance frequencies, with an effective reading range of the antenna changing as the resonance frequency changes.

Abstract: An electronic device merges a plurality of maps, or area description files (ADFs), by representing relationships among ADFs in an undirected graph, with vertices representing maps and edges representing transformations between maps. As the electronic device generates new ADFs, the electronic device merges each new ADF to a stored collection of ADFs by adding each new ADF as a vertex and transformations between the new ADF and the collection of ADFs as edges in the undirected graph. In this way, the map merger can use the undirected graph to more accurately represent the relations between any two maps, allowing more efficient merger of new maps to a previously stored collection of maps, and allowing for the development of more flexible and efficient algorithms for manipulating the merged maps.

Abstract: Methods and compositions containing a phorbol ester or a derivative of a phorbol ester are provided for the treatment and prevention of stroke and the sequelae of stroke. Additional compositions and methods are provided which employ a phorbol ester or derivative compound in combination with at least one additional agent to yield more effective treatment tools to treat or prevent stroke and the long term effects of stroke in mammalian subjects.
