    Abstract: Provided are emissions treatment systems for an exhaust stream having an ammonia-generating component, such as a NOx storage reduction (NSR) catalyst or a lean NOx trap (LNT) catalyst, and an SCR catalyst disposed downstream of the ammonia-generating catalyst. The SCR catalyst can be a molecular sieve having the CHA crystal structure, for example SSZ-13 or SAPO-34, which can be ion-exchanged with copper. The LNT can be layered, having an undercoat washcoat layer comprising a support material, at least one precious metal, and at least one NOx sorbent selected from the group consisting of alkaline earth elements, rare earth elements, and combinations thereof and a top washcoat layer comprising a support material, at least one precious metal, and ceria in particulate form, the top washcoat layer being substantially free of alkaline earth components. The emissions treatment system is advantageously used for the treatment of exhaust streams from diesel engines and lean burn gasoline engines.

    Abstract: Improved methods, systems and apparatus for storing and repairing multimedia files are provided that overcome the limitations of existing multimedia file repair technologies. Backup copies of the multimedia container information associated with given multimedia content data are stored, along with the multimedia content data, on an external storage detachably coupled to a recording device. A primary copy of the multimedia container information is stored on an internal storage associated with the recording device. The recording of the primary container information and the content data is performed in real-time or nearly real-time as the content data is captured by the recording device. In the case of an abnormal event (e.g., battery failure, disconnect of storage media), container information may be selected from the primary copy or the backup copies of the container information, thereby increasing the likelihood that the container file can be successfully repaired or regenerated.

    Abstract: A passivation method for a silicon carbide (SiC) surface may include steps of providing a silicon carbide surface, depositing a thin metal layer on the silicon carbide surface, forming a first passivation layer on the metal layer at low temperature, and generating a dielectric layer by a reaction between a gas/liquid ambient and the thin metal layer. In one embodiment, the thin metal layer is deposited on the silicon carbide surface by sputtering, e-beam evaporation, electroplating, etc. In another embodiment, the metal may include, but not limited to, aluminum, magnesium, etc. In a further embodiment, the passivation layer can be a low temperature oxide and/or nitride layer. In still a further embodiment, the dielectric layer can be aluminum oxide, titanium di-oxide etc. The passivation method for a silicon carbide (SiC) may further include a step of forming a second passivation layer on the first passivation layer.
