  • Patent number: 7986649
Abstract: A method, apparatus and system for virtual network configuration and partition handover are provided. The virtual network configuration method includes the following steps: The serving edge device obtains a target virtual network identifier and a corresponding interface identifier, uses the target virtual network identifier and the corresponding interface identifier to generate a Layer-2 Control (L2C) protocol packet, and sends out the L2C protocol packet; the communication proxy device that receives the L2C protocol packet obtains the target virtual network identifier and the corresponding interface identifier from the L2C protocol packet, and sets up a mapping relation between a target virtual network and an interface.

  • Patent number: 7985086
Abstract: An exemplary mounting apparatus includes a connector and two latching mechanisms connected to two opposite ends of the connector. The connector defines a slot in a top surface thereof, and two sliding grooves in two opposite side surfaces thereof. Each sliding groove extends though the two side surfaces. Each latching mechanisms includes a guide pin and a latching member. The guide pin is slidably received in a corresponding sliding groove. The latching member includes a latching portion for engaging with an expansion card, two feet connected to two ends of the guide pin, and two connecting arms each connected between one end of the latching portion and a corresponding foot. When the guide pin is pulled by the latching member to move from a bottom end to a top end of the sliding groove, the expansion card is pushed out of the slot of the connector by the guide pin.

  • Publication number: 20110177547
Abstract: A fluidic device includes an arrangement of channels for introducing a sample containing particles of interest into a processing chamber. The chamber is in fluid communication with collecting channels via low-flow connection channels. Particles in the sample may be observed and diverted from the processing chamber by application of a motive force such as optical trapping into a collection channel. Once in the collection channel, particles can be collected, including by trapping in a porous matrix.

  • Publication number: 20110178788
Abstract: Predicate checking in conjunction with distributed systems can enable an investigating user to check predicates in the context of instance states and/or distributed states of a distributed system. In an example embodiment, a method entails accepting distributed system simulation data and performing a simulation of a distributed system using the distributed system simulation data to create distributed system simulated states. At least a portion of the distributed system simulated states are exposed. The exposed portion of the distributed system simulated states is retrieved and stored as exposed states for the distributed system. The exposed states for the distributed system are compared to predicate states for the distributed system. If an inconsistency is detected between the exposed states and the predicate states based on the comparing, at least one alarm is issued.

  • Publication number: 20110177864
Abstract: A game apparatus has a plurality of actuation devices in which at least two of the actuation devices require different mechanical actions for actuation. The apparatus further includes a speaker, a display screen, and a processor coupled to each of the actuation devices and to the display screen and the speaker. The processor outputs a first command signal to the speaker relating to a first actuation device, then outputs a second command signal to the speaker when the first actuation device is actuated, with the second command signal relating to a second actuation device. The processor outputs image signals to the display screen that are representative of the mechanical actions being taken.

Abstract: A virtual machine is migrated between a source cloud and a destination cloud. A temporary storage is mounted to a partition management firmware of the source cloud and to a partition management firmware of the destination cloud. A first storage location migration migrates the virtual machine from the source cloud to the at least one temporary storage. A second storage location migration migrates the virtual machine from the at least one temporary storage to final destination storage of the destination cloud. The temporary storage is then unmounted from the partition management firmware of the source cloud and from the partition management firmware of the destination cloud.

  • Publication number: 20110176069
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to circuits, systems and methods that can be used to detect light beam misalignment, so that compensation for such misalignment can be performed. In accordance with an embodiment, a circuit includes a photo-detector (PD) having a plurality of electrically isolated PD segments. Additionally, the circuit has circuitry, including switches, configured to control how currents indicative of light detected by the plurality of electrically isolated PD segments are arithmetically combined. When the switches are in a first configuration, a signal produced by the circuitry is indicative of vertical light beam alignment. When the switches are in a second configuration, the signal produced by the circuitry is indicative of horizontal light beam alignment. The signals indicative of vertical light beam alignment and horizontal light beam alignment can be used detect light beam misalignment, so that compensation for such misalignment can be performed.
