Abstract: A super resolution optofluidic microscope device comprises a body defining a fluid channel having a longitudinal axis and includes a surface layer proximal the fluid channel. The surface layer has a two-dimensional light detector array configured to receive light passing through the fluid channel and sample a sequence of subpixel shifted projection frames as an object moves through the fluid channel. The super resolution optofluidic microscope device further comprises a processor in electronic communication with the two-dimensional light detector array. The processor is configured to generate a high resolution image of the object using a super resolution algorithm, and based on the sequence of subpixel shifted projection frames and a motion vector of the object.

Abstract: A dot-matrix printer comprises a main frame, a first movable frame, and a second movable frame, wherein the main frame supports a printer head; the first movable frame supports a platen and a first paper feeding roller, and is pivotally connected to one end of the main frame via a first pivot shaft to permit itself to be opened or closed relative to the main frame; the second movable frame supports a second paper feeding roller, and is pivotally connected to the other end of the main frame via a second pivot shaft to permit itself to be opened or closed relative to the main frame; and wherein when the first movable frame and the second movable frame are closed relative to the main frame, the printer head is opposite to the platen to form a printing position; and the first paper feeding roller is tangent to the second paper feeding roller. The dot-matrix printer according to the present invention has two movable frames.

Abstract: A carbon commutator, for an electric motor, has a plurality of segments forming a brush contact surface and a hub supporting the segments. Each segment has a connector having a terminal for connection of a lead wire, a carbon layer forming the brush contact surface, and a connecting layer fixed to the carbon layer and electrically connecting the carbon layer to the connector. A plurality of micro structures is formed at the interface between the connecting layer and the carbon layer.

Abstract: A hard disk assembly includes a first and a second hard disk, and a hard disk connecting mechanism for holding the first and the second hard disks. The first and second hard disks both each have a composite receptacle. The hard disk connecting mechanism includes a frame for mounting the first and the second hard disks and a composite connector detachably positioned in the frame. The composite connector includes a base, a first composite plug engaged with the composite receptacle of the first hard disk and a second composite plug engaged with the composite receptacle of the second hard disk. The frame defines a sliding slot. The base form a sliding protrusion slidably received in the sliding slot to slidably position the composite connector in the frame.

Abstract: Provided is a new supercapacitor electrode material, comprising multiple interpenetrating networks of nanowires. More specifically, an interpenetrating network of metal oxide nanowires and an interpenetrating network of electrically conductive nanowires may form a composite film having a hierarchal porous structure. This hierarchically porous, interpenetrating network structure can provide the composite film with high capacitance, electrical conductivity and excellent rate performance. The present invention can be generalized towards other capacitor composites, opening a new avenue for a large spectrum of device applications.

Abstract: A coupling mechanism includes a pivot assembly and a lifting assembly. The pivot assembly includes a first bracket, a pivot pin, a second bracket, and a cam piece. The second bracket is rotatably mounted to the first bracket via the pivot pin and has a valley portion recessed from one surface thereof. The cam piece is mounted to the pivot pin for holding the second bracket at any angle. The cam piece has a peak portion formed on one surface thereof and received in the valley portion of the second bracket at a closed position. The lifting assembly is adjustably assembled to the second bracket such that the lifting assembly is pivotally assembled with the first bracket.

Abstract: Certain aspects of a method and system for processing signals in a communication system may include maximizing system capacity for a time division duplex (TDD) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system, based on reducing a search range within which to find a group of signals having maximum channel gain. At least one of: a first signal for a first user and a second signal for a second user may be selected, which are both within the reduced search range, and which provides a maximum system capacity. The first signal for the first user may be selected from the reduced search range corresponding to a channel gain that is greater than a channel gain corresponding to a remaining portion of the reduced search range. The reduced search range may be generated by sorting a plurality of signals based on a channel gain corresponding to each of the plurality of signals.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to systems and methods for redacting sensitive data entries. A command to a document is received, where the document comprises data entries, wherein each data entry comprises text-based content. One or more sensitive data entries in the document are identified. A link between each identified sensitive data entry and a descriptor label is defined, and the link and the descriptor label are stored in a repository. A redacted document is generated by, for each identified sensitive data entry, replacing the text-based content with the associated descriptor label.

Abstract: Dependence-based software builds are described. In embodiments, authored source code is received as inputs to a computer device to develop a buildable unit of a software build project. The software build project includes multiple buildable units that can be allocated for independent development among multiple developers, such as at computer devices local to each developer. At the computer device, dependent buildable units are identified that have a dependency relationship with the buildable unit for execution. The authored source code of the buildable unit is then validated to determine that the buildable unit executes with the dependent buildable units for error-free execution before the buildable unit is subsequently provided to a software build service that compiles the multiple buildable units to generate the software build project.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a garden machine. More specifically, the present invention relates to a pedal-driven lawn mower. The pedal-driven lawn mower of the present invention comprises a carriage, a mechanism for driving the lawn mower and a cutting hob mechanism arranged on said carriage; said cutting hob mechanism is transmission connected to said mechanism for driving the lawn mower. The present invention combines cutting hob mechanism with the pedal-driven vehicle whereby an operator can sit on the lawn mower to control the direction and drive the lawn mower and the cutting hob mechanism when pedaling. The present invention functions both sports entertainment and grass cutting but uses no fuel or power thus is healthy and environment-friendly.

The return member is secured to the cover member including an elastic sheet (141) secured to the latch assembly. The elastic sheet is used to return the latch assembly from the latched position to the released position.

Abstract: A method and system for interconnecting a DSL network and a radio communication network are disclosed. The DSL network carries data transmitted in the radio communication network so that the radio communication network and the DSL network are interconnected. The xDSL is adopted to perform the base station transmission. The scheme may function as a radio extension of the wire access of the DSL network and is suitable to fixed wireless, nomadic connectivity, laptop and mobile access applications.

Abstract: The frequency chirp modulation response of a directly modulated laser is described using a small signal model that depends on slow chirp amplitude s and slow chirp time constant ?s. The small signal model can be used to derive an inverse response for designing slow chirp compensation means. Slow chirp compensation means include electrical compensation, optical compensation, or both. Slow chirp electrical compensation can be implemented with an LR filter or other RF circuit coupled to a direct modulation source (e.g., a laser driver) and the directly modulated laser. Slow chirp optical compensation can be implemented with an optical spectrum reshaper having a rounded top and relatively large slope (e.g., 1.5-3 dB/GHz). The inverse response can be designed to under-compensate, to produce a flat response, or to over-compensate.

Abstract: A method for positive emission tomography (PET) target image segmentation is provided. The method comprises capturing and digitizing image data of a selected target, determining an initial concentration ratio based on an initial source background ratio and an initial volume estimate of the selected target employing a concentration ratio table, determining a desired threshold from the initial concentration ratio and the initial volume estimate employing a threshold table, and determining a final volume estimate of the selected target based on the determined desired threshold.

Abstract: A method for controlling operation of a wind turbine is described. The wind turbine includes a rotor having a plurality of rotor blades and an upwind wind condition measurement device. The method includes measuring a wind condition upwind from the rotor using the upwind wind condition measurement device and providing the measured wind condition to a processor. The method also includes determining a control algorithm parameter, based at least partially on the measured wind condition, that controls at least one of a wind turbine response bandwidth, a wind turbine response speed, and a wind turbine control error range. The method also includes determining a wind turbine operating command based at least partially on the control algorithm parameter and applying the wind turbine operating command to operation of the wind turbine.

Abstract: An electrochemical method for measuring the concentration of an anionically-charged and non-electroactive polymer in an aqueous solution is provided. The method comprises immobilizing a cationic dye material on an electrically conductive substrate form a working electrode; contacting the working electrode with the aqueous solution including the anionically-charged and non-electroactive polymer to be measured, and transmitting electrical power to the working electrode; measuring a current of the working electrode under a determined electric potential; and calculating a concentration or quantity of the anionically-charged polymer in the aqueous solution according to the measured current of the working electrode.
