Abstract: Disclosed are a retransmission method, a base station, and a user device in a multicast system. In order to reduce uplink signaling resource, a new MNI (Multiple NACK Indicator) message is added to an uplink common feedback channel in an existing E-MBMS system. The MNI message enables decision of an XOR retransmission group which satisfies the XOR retransmission condition. As compared to a conventional XOR retransmission, the number of uplink signalings does not depend on the number of receivers. That is, when a plenty of receptions are present, it is possible to significantly reduce uplink signalings.

Abstract: Embodiments of an optical device, an array of optical devices, and a technique for fabricating the optical device or the array are described. This optical device is implemented on a substrate (such as silicon), and includes a thermally tunable optical waveguide that has good thermal isolation from its surroundings. In particular, a portion of a semiconductor in the optical device, which includes the optical waveguide, is free standing above a gap between the semiconductor layer and the substrate. By reducing the thermal coupling between the optical waveguide and the external environment, the optical device can be thermally tuned with significantly less power consumption.

Abstract: A computer enclosure includes a main body defining a holding space in an upper end of the main body and an input/output (I/O) interface apparatus. One part of the I/O interface apparatus is inserted into the holding space of the main body and the other part of the I/O interface apparatus is exposed out of the holding space of the main body. A plurality of I/O interfaces is mounted on an upper side of the other part of the I/O interface apparatus.

Abstract: The method for multiple TDD systems coexistence comprising steps of: a newly deployed system calculating a relative time offset ?t for a corresponding frame; the newly deployed system transmitting uplink and downlink signals based on a time reference information obtained by a summation of the relative time offset ?t and a time reference of an existing system. With the method proposed in present invention, uplink and downlink interference from adjacent frequency bands and from adjacent carriers in the same frequency band can be greatly reduced and a transmission time utility can be guaranteed for a newly deployed system.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of generating keywords in an automated manner for use in searching an electronic database. The generated groups of keywords may be formatted in a variety of configurations, including a table. The table may include a plurality of columns for keywords and a plurality of rows for groups of keywords. The plurality of columns may include categories for keywords, and keywords with software compatible operators. A user may input at least one keyword in the table and is presented, in an automated manner, with at least one suggestion of a related term from which the user may choose. The sources of suggestions may include commercial thesauri or dictionaries, or a database of previously executed search queries or saved keyword tables. Boolean operators compatible with the database to be searched are added in an automated manner to the selected keywords when the table is populated.

Abstract: An optical image stabilization system for a camera module is disclosed. The stabilization system comprises a voice coil motor (VCM), at least one digital gyroscope for receiving signals from the VCM, and an angular velocity sensor for receiving signals from the digital gyroscope and outputting an angular position error signal. The stabilization system further comprises signal processing logic for receiving the error signal, and comparing the error signal to a reference signal and providing a stabilized image based upon that comparison, wherein the hard-coded logic, digital gyroscope and rate and position sensor resides on the same chip.

Abstract: A central processing unit (CPU) start-up circuit for controlling a CPU of a portable electronic device includes a power management unit (PMU) connected to the CPU, an awaking circuit connected to the CPU, and a main power supply connected to the CPU, the PMU and the awaking circuit. The main power supply provides working electric power to the CPU, the PMU detects the status of the main power supply and generates a status signal (SS) according to the detecting result, the awaking circuit detects the status of the main power supply and generates a waking signal (WS) according to the detecting result, and the SS and the WS are both transmitted to the CPU to cooperatively control the CPU to be switched on and switched off.

Abstract: A system includes a platform domain implementing address-indexed operations and an application domain implementing application context-oriented operations. The platform domain includes a platform interconnect to process address-indexed platform transactions and a trace monitor to generate a debug trace stream from platform transactions based on their platform context information. The application domain includes a processing component and a queue manager to queue descriptors for data frames to be processed by the application domain, each descriptor having application context information including application-specific debug information for the corresponding data frame.

Abstract: Biomarkers for identifying trichogenic cells have been identified. The biomarkers include microRNA as wells as mRNA and proteins. Certain biomarkers are upregulated in trichogenic cells compared to non-trichogenic cells; whereas, other biomarkers are down-regulated in trichogenic cells compared to non-trichogenic cells. The cells can be dermal cells, epidermal cells, or a combination thereof. Preferably the cells are mammalian, more preferably the cells are human. One embodiment provides a method for selecting trichogenic cells by assaying the cells for expression of one or more biomarkers for trichogenicity, and selecting the cells having increased expression of the one or more biomarkers relative to a control, wherein increased expression of the a biomarker in the cells is indicative of trichogenicity.

The upper and lower mating ports include first and second metal shells, respectively. Abstract: The invention provides a hydrogel suitable for use in wound healing, particularly for reducing post-surgical adhesions. The hydrogel comprises cross-linked derivatives of chitosan and dextran polymers. The hydrogel forms when solutions of the polymers are combined.

Abstract: A method for selecting the best mode of intra prediction coding for video coding applied in video coding and decoding field is provided. The method includes: constructing a rate distortion cost function based on an estimated rate to be encoded; computing the rate distortion costs for all predictive modes by using the constructed function, and selecting the predictive mode with the minimum rate distortion cost as the best mode of intra prediction coding according to the computing result. Accordingly, a device for selecting the best mode of intra prediction coding for video coding is provided. By the method, the selected mode is closer to the best mode selected by original rate distortion optimization model, thereby the need to code every block actually in the process of rate distortion optimization is effectively avoided.

Abstract: A kind of growth method of non-polarized-plane InN which is growing m-plane InN and In-rich m-plane InGaN on LiA1O2 (100) substrate by the metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD), and m-plane is one kind of non-polarized-plane, In-rich denotes that the component of In x is higher than 0.3 in InxGa1?xN. The invention synthetically grows m-plane InN and In-rich m-plane InGaN using LiA1O2 (100) as substrate which will be disposed and the buffer by MOCVD. And the non-polarized-plane InN would be produced through choosing appropriate substrate and the technique condition of growth as well as using the design of buffer by MOCVD.

Abstract: In the field of communications, a method, device and system for diagnosing whether nodes are abnormal are provided. The method includes: sending a diagnostic message with an identifier of a message to be detected; determining whether an acknowledgement message sent from a node corresponding to the diagnostic message is received; and if the acknowledgement message is received, determining that the node is a normal node; otherwise, determining that the node is an abnormal node. A device for diagnosing whether nodes are abnormal, an intermediate node device and a system for diagnosing whether nodes are abnormal are further provided. The method, device and system have the advantage of diagnosing whether a node is abnormal and whether a node is an abnormal node.

Abstract: A method of the invention is a method of detecting nitramines and nitrate esters believed to be present on a sampling substrate. In the method, a sampling substrate is exposed to a first reagent that is formulated to react with nitramine- and nitrate ester-type explosives to release nitrite. The sampling substrate is then exposed to a second reagent that contains an acid to react with the nitrite and a diaminoaromatic present in either the first or second reagent, to form a triazole that will luminesce. Another method of the invention combines this process for nitramine- and nitrate ester-based explosives detection with a technique to detect nitroaromatic-based explosives using luminescent polymers, for a three-step process for the detection of explosives in these three classes.
