    Abstract: An electrical connector assembly (100) combining at least two different types of interfaces, includes a first housing (1) having a first mating portion (11) at a front surface and a protrusion (12) extending from a bottom surface thereof. The protrusion has an upper portion and a lower portion being wider than the upper portion. A set of first terminals (3) are mounted on the first housing and extend into the first mating portion thereof. A second housing (2) is assembled to the first housing. The second housing has a second mating portion (21) at a front surface and a recess (26) at a top surface thereof to retain the protrusion therein. The recess has an upper portion and a lower portion being wider than the upper portion. A plurality of second terminals (4) are mounted on the second housing and extend into the second mating portion thereof. A second inner shell (6) encloses the second mating portion of the second housing. The second inner shell has a top surface abutted against by the protrusion.

    Abstract: A method of enhancing alignment marks defined in a relatively thin layer on a wafer by etching the alignment marks into an underlying alignment mark transfer layer is described. The target area for the alignment marks is prepared by depositing material for the transfer layer. In alternative embodiments an oversized trench is formed in the target area prior to the deposition of the transfer layer. The alignment marks can fabricated in the layer(s) deposited by the existing process or alternatively, the original layers can be removed and replaced with a layer of material selected to have comparable etching properties (definition layer).

Responsive to receiving the chip package model, an inductance and a resistance of the chip package model is measured. The inductance and the resistance are measured using only a set of external nodes of the chip package model. A reduced node resistor model and a reduced node inductor model are created using the inductance and the resistance of the chip package model. A combined reduced node resistor-inductor chip package model is formed by combining the reduced node resistor model and reduced node inductor model.

    Abstract: A method of applying a sculptured copper seed layer on a semiconductor feature surface using ion deposition sputtering. A first protective layer of material is deposited on a substrate surface using traditional sputtering or ion deposition sputtering, in combination with sufficiently low substrate bias that a surface onto which the layer is applied is not eroded away or contaminated during deposition of the protective layer. Subsequently, a sculptured second layer of material is applied using ion deposition sputtering at an increased substrate bias, to sculpture a shape from a portion of the first protective layer of material and the second layer of depositing material.

    Abstract: Mitigating the DC content of an AC output from an inverter is important for electrical system reliability. The inverter may be powered by unbalanced DC inputs while still mitigating the DC content of the AC output wavefrom. The present invention provides methods to mitigate the DC content in the output DC voltage by reshaping the PWM reference signals (carrier signals) according to the DC content in such a way that the DC content is canceled. These reshaped PWM reference signals may be, for example, unsymmetrical reference waveforms. Unlike conventional methods for providing an AC voltage from a DC voltage with an inverter, which may result in DC content in the output AC voltage when an unbalanced DC input voltage is supplied, the present invention provides methods for mitigating the DC content in an AC voltage, even if the inverter providing the AC voltage is supplied with unbalanced DC voltage.
