The shisha device also comprises a vessel (17) spaced from the aerosol-generating element and defining an interior for housing a volume of liquid. The vessel comprises a head space outlet (15). The shisha device also comprises an aerosol conduit (21) positioned between the aerosol-generating element and the interior of the vessel. The aerosol conduit comprises a proximal end portion defining a proximal opening (24) positioned to receive airflow from the aerosol-generating element, a distal end portion defining a distal opening (26) positioned in the interior of the vessel, and a ventilation opening (30) positioned between the proximal and distal end portions. A ratio between the total aperture area of the ventilation opening and a transverse cross-sectional area of the aerosol conduit positioned proximate to the ventilation opening is at most 1:1000.

Abstract: An aerosol-generating device is provided, including: a heating element configured to heat an aerosol-forming substrate to generate an aerosol; a temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature of the heating element; an aerosol-monitor for measuring an aerosol property including at least one of a physical property and a chemical composition of a generated aerosol, the aerosol-monitor being disposed at or along a flow channel downstream of the heating element; a controller configured to adjust a power supplied to the heating element based on: i) a measured heating element temperature in a first feedback control loop, and ii) a measured aerosol property in a second feedback control loop; and an auxiliary aerosol controller for adjusting aerosol properties of the generated aerosol, the controller is further configured to adjust at least one control variable for the auxiliary aerosol controlling means based on the measured aerosol property in the second feedback control loop.

The cooling re) element unit utilizes active cooling and may additionally utilize passive cooling. The cooling element may comprise a conduit (21) comprising a thermally conductive material. The cooling element may be integrally formed with an accelerating element (14) disposed along the airflow channel. Cooling may occur before or during acceleration of the aerosol by the accelerating element. The cooling may contribute to the condensation in the aerosol.

Abstract: A method includes generating an aerosol by heating, without combusting, an aerosol generating substrate (300) in a shisha device (100). The method further includes introducing at least one aerosol condensation particle to an airflow path (103) of the shisha device. The airflow path (103) carries the aerosol generated by the aerosol generating substrate to an outlet (104) of the shisha device for delivery to a user.

Abstract: A shisha device includes a vessel, an aerosol-generating element in fluid communication with the vessel, and a chamber between the vessel and the aerosol-generating element. The chamber is in fluid communication with the vessel and the aerosol-generating element. The chamber comprises an inlet configured to accelerate air containing aerosol that flows through the inlet from the aerosol-generating element. The chamber may include a main chamber in fluid communication with the inlet. The main chamber may be sized and shaped to allow deceleration of the aerosol in the main chamber when the aerosol exits the inlet and enters the main chamber.
