  • Patent number: 12042663
Abstract: The proposed invention relates to an electromedical device that produces a cold plasma at atmospheric pressure for use in blood clotting and the treatment of ulcers and other skin injuries in human and animal patients. The main claims relate to the use of gas pre-treated by means of a cooling and dehumidification, together with a system of plasma expansion chambers in the outlet channel of same. As a result of these innovations, the plasma produced using the invention has a lower temperature than those in the prior art, preserving greater effectiveness both in blood clotting and in the disinfection and treatment of skin injuries, without causing any damage to the patient's healthy tissue. The device can be used in the treatment of human and animal patients to considerably accelerate blood clotting without damage to healthy tissue, during clinical and surgical treatments. I can also be used to treat ulcers and other skin injuries, owing to its disinfection properties, without damaging healthy tissue.

  • Patent number: 12008058
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure include a natural language processing model by which topics of interest within a text are identified, such as by a predictive model that infers (e.g., based on scores associated with a text) a topic of interest associated with the text. The computer system may train or configure the prediction model, such as a machine learning model, to facilitate identification of topics of interest based on inputs, like one or more chunks of text, such as by keywords or phrases or combinations of keywords and associated metrics for nearness or frequency. The computer system may determine a measure of predicted impactfulness of the content item in relation to a topic of interest identified for the content item and determine whether to generate a notification transmitted to client devices of users having indicated the topic as of interest.

  • Publication number: 20240159755
Abstract: VOCs in exhaled breath can be used to diagnose stage 1 lung cancer (SL1C). Three potential biomarkers Acetoin, Dodecane, and p-Cymene have predictive power for SL1C. Acetoin and Dodecane are predictive with relation to their concentrations in the 1 L breath sample, and p-Cymene is predictive 5 with relation to being above or below the limit of detection. The diagnostic of the present invention is capable of detecting S1LC noninvasively and in some cases earlier than other methodologies. This diagnostic can then be paired with appropriate treatments to address S1LC before it grows or metastasizes.
