  • Patent number: 10846943
Abstract: Optimizing viewing assets, such as three-dimensional (3D) virtual objects for mixed reality (MR), virtual reality (VR), or augmented reality (AR) environment visualization may involve obtaining a viewing asset, generating a decimation request for the obtained viewing asset, responsive to generating the decimation request, receiving a set of decimation files, based at least on the set of decimation files, generating a plurality of selectable options, receiving a user selection of an option, and outputting the selected option as a converted viewing asset. Disclosed examples may also include specifying a maximum file size, a minimum polygon count, a maximum polygon count, and a minimum number of renderable viewing assets on a target display platform. Disclosed examples may operate automatically, and may permit tailoring of a decimation recipe.

  • Patent number: 10505996
Abstract: A system to identify and leverage geographically proximate client devices to reduce network traffic associated with facilitating digital collaboration sessions in a real-world environment. Embodiments enable a user to initiate a digital collaboration session and to limit participation in the digital collaboration session to client devices that are physically located within a geofence (e.g., a virtual geographic boundary). Other client devices that are located within the geofence are identified and enabled to join the digital collaboration session. participants may each use their own client device to contribute to the digital collaboration session. Participants can save individual segments of the digital collaboration session by indicating an interest immediately after the segments occur. Client devices then upload data for the segment for enhancement.

  • Publication number: 20180268054
Abstract: A playlist engine is provided that selects content items for a partial playlist. The content items may include audio content items (i.e., tracks or songs). In one implementation, a user provides a request to expand a partial playlist. The request may include the partial playlist and an indication of the number of additional content items that the user would like to add to the partial playlist. The playlist engine may select one or more attributes from the content items in the partial playlist, and may use the selected one or more attributes to determine additional content items that are relevant to the selected one or more attributes. The playlist engine may add the additional content items to the partial playlist.
