  • Patent number: 11753372
Abstract: A new process for the production of epsilon caprolactam (CPL) from 6-aminocaproic acid (6-ACA) can be obtained either from traditional petro chemical processes or can be obtained from biochemical processes. With the proposed process, the reaction time for conversion of 6-aminocaproic acid to the Nylon 6 monomer is shorter and significant energy savings are possible which is advantageous for industrial scale production. The conversion of 6-aminocaproic acid to the Nylon 6 monomer runs at atmospheric pressure and in the final product epsilon caprolactam with no oligomers formation of significance is obtained.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: September 12, 2023
    Assignees: AQUAFIL S.P.A., GENOMATICA INC.

  • Patent number: 4452630
Abstract: Solutions and formulations of pesticidal carbamates having a high carbamate content and which are stable in the long run, as during storage, and can be exposed to temperatures of from 0.degree. C. to 54.degree. C. without undergoing alterations, i.e., without forming precipitates, etc., are disclosed. The stable solutions or formulations comprise, besides the carbamates, a solvent A which can be DMF, DMA or a mixture of the two and a solvent B which is any solvent, or mixture of solvents, mixable with solvent A, with the exception of alcohols, acids and aliphatic hydrocarbons.

  • Patent number: 4404185
Abstract: A slow release formulation of sex pheromones of insects consisting of aldehydes, is herein described. The formulation consists of the bisulphite adduct of the aldehyde and a buffer having a pH value in the range from 2 to 10.The formulations herein described are employable for attracting and catching the insects in traps or for permeating the air in an infested area, in this way disturbing and preventing copulation.

  • Patent number: 4325941
Abstract: There are disclosed solid formulations containing, as an active substance, a sex pheromone; as main vehicles, a carrier having absorbing properties and another carrier having adsorbing properties, and, furthermore, a wetting agent, a dispersant, a sticker, an ultraviolet (U.V.) stabilizer, an antioxidant and, optionally, a film-forming resin. Such formulations are utilized to control insects. In particular, the disclosed formulations contain, as an active substance, a sex pheromone of insects and, as a main vehicle, a mixture composed of a carrier having absorbing properties, and of another carrier having adsorbing properties, and are utilized to prevent insects from mating (mating disruption).
