  • Patent number: 11186540
Abstract: Disclosed are compositions and methods for preventing or reducing polymer formation and polymer deposition in equipment used in petrochemical processes. An antifoulant composition includes a combination of one or more antioxidants; one or more antipolymerants; one or more dispersants; and one or more solvents. A method of preventing or reducing fouling of process equipment used in an industrial process is also described. The method includes introducing into the process equipment an antifoulant composition, the antifoulant composition comprising a combination of one or more antioxidants; one or more antipolymerants; one or more dispersants; and one or more solvents.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 9, 2020
Date of Patent: November 30, 2021
    Assignee: Ecolab USA Inc.
Inventors: Anahita Khanlari, Andrew R. Neilson
  • Patent number: 10869444
Abstract: Described are compositions and methods for inhibiting polymerization of a monomer (e.g., styrene) composition a quinone methide polymerization retarder and an oxygen-containing amine compound that is a tertiary amine or hydroxylamine. In a mixture, the oxygen-containing amine compound improves the efficacy of the quinone methide polymerization retarder and provides greater antipolymerant activity. In turn, the mixture reduces or prevents apparatus fouling and improves the purity of monomer streams.

Date of Patent: December 22, 2020
    Assignee: Ecolab USA Inc.
Inventors: Jonathan Masere, Lisheng Xu, Anahita Khanlari
