Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for location-aware event monitoring. In an embodiment, a computing platform receives an indication of an event. The location of a mobile computing device associated with the event is determined. Additional information about the event may then be retrieved based on the location of the event and the location of the mobile computing device. In some embodiments, the location of more than one mobile computing device may be determined and used to associate the event with one of the mobile computing devices. In some embodiments, the distance between the location of the mobile computing device and the location of the event is used to determine further information about the event.
