  • Patent number: 12013363
Abstract: A combustible gas sensor that includes a reference sensor. The reference sensor includes a first substrate having a first substrate first surface, a first insulating layer disposed on the first substrate first surface, and a first heater at least one of embedded within the first insulating layer and disposed on the first insulating layer. The first substrate is a MEMS substrate.

  • Patent number: 11428576
Abstract: A flame or gas detection method includes determining non-imaging sensor system detection state for a scene of interest, determining an imaging sensor system detection state for the scene of interest, and validating one of the non-imaging sensor system detection state and the imaging sensor system detection state with the other of the non-imaging sensor system detection state and the imaging sensor system detection state. A flame or gas detecting system detection state is then indicated at a user interface including the validated one of the non-imaging sensor system detection state and the imaging system detection state. Flame or gas detection systems and computer program products are also described.

  • Publication number: 20220074850
Abstract: Methods and systems for gas detection are provided. Aspects include determining a target gas for detection in a sampling chamber, determining one or more target characteristics of light based on the target gas, operating a light source to transmit the light through a sampling chamber to an optical element, operating an active optical element to modulate the light based on the one or more target characteristics of the light, operating a filter to receive the light from the optical element and separate the light in to a first light portion and a second light portion, operating the photodetector to receive the first light portion from the filter, and analyzing the first light portion to determine a presence of the target gas in the sampling chamber.

  • Publication number: 20190317036
Abstract: A gas-sensing element includes a gas-sensing surface of transition metal-doped metal oxide semiconductor of a first metal (particularly tin oxide) over a body of the metal oxide semiconductor. The gas-sensing element includes an auxiliary component of: (1) internally-disposed second metal (particularly copper, gold or silver) disposed in the gas-sensing element between the body and the gas-sensing surface, or (2) a metal chalcogenide (particularly sulfide or sulphide) disposed at the gas-sensing surface or internally disposed in the gas-sensing element between the body and the gas-sensing surface that stabilizes the second metal at the gas-sensing surface.
