  • Patent number: 11978263
Abstract: A method for determining a safe state for a vehicle includes disposing a camera at a vehicle and disposing an electronic control unit (ECU) at the vehicle. Frames of image data are captured by the camera and provided to the ECU. An image processor of the ECU processes frames of image data captured by the camera. A condition is determined via processing at the image processor of the ECU frames of image data captured by the camera. The condition includes a shadow present in the field of view of the camera within ten frames of image data captured by the camera or a damaged condition of the imager within two minutes of operation of the camera. The ECU determines a safe state for the vehicle responsive to determining the condition.

  • Publication number: 20220345475
Abstract: A method for providing cybersecurity to an industrial system having multiple components includes monitoring communications across the components of the system and detecting a deviation in an expected communication state in a first component. Upon detection of a deviation, communication states of at least one other component in the system is observed. If a deviation is also detected in the other component, then the deviation is deemed to be unauthorized. If no other deviations are detected in other components, the original deviation is deemed to be benign. Detecting a deviation includes comparing an expected communication state based on a baseline to the current communication state, the communication state may be based on a communication's content or a pattern of communication actions.

  • Patent number: 11231951
Abstract: In a computer-implemented method for upgrading a fault tolerant hyper-converged infrastructure in an environment with no additional physical infrastructure, a workload domain having a plurality of hosts is chosen for an upgrade. One or more conflict groups are calculated for each host, and a physical host in the workload domain is selected. A number and a size of one or more nested hosts is determined and a different nested host is created in a management cluster for each of the one more conflict groups in the physical host. A communication network provides communication between a virtual machine (VM) on the different nested host and a VM in the physical host. The physical host is put into a maintenance mode, upgraded, and then returned from the maintenance mode to an operational mode.

  • Publication number: 20210212699
Abstract: A system for treating an aneurysm comprises an elongate flexible shaft and an expandable member. An expandable scaffold is disposed over the expandable member and may be expanded from a collapsed configuration to an expanded configuration. A double-walled filling structure is disposed over the scaffold and has an outer wall and an inner wall. The filling structure is adapted to be filled with a hardenable fluid filing medium so that the outer wall conforms to an inside surface of the aneurysm and the inner wall forms a substantially tubular lumen to provide a path for blood flow. In the expanded configuration the scaffold engages the inner wall of the filling structure. A tether is releasably coupled with the filling structure and the flexible shaft thereby constraining axial movement of the structures relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 10936884
Abstract: A vision system for a vehicle includes a camera configured to be disposed at a vehicle so as to have a field of view exterior of the vehicle. A processor is operable to process image data captured by the camera. The vision system determines conditions where processing of captured image data degrades in performance due to environmental conditions. The vision system, responsive to a determined condition, determines a safe state for image processing of captured image data for that determined condition. A failsafe algorithm, responsive to processing of image data captured by the camera and responsive to the determined condition, and in accordance with the determined safe state for that determined condition, determines true negatives and avoids false positives and false negatives.

  • Patent number: 10931582
Abstract: A network appliance deployed in a visibility fabric may intelligently drop certain low priority traffic to avoid indiscriminate dropping of data packets across all flow maps during periods of high congestion. More specifically, the network appliance may determine the data packets of a flow map should be dropped based on priority measures assigned on a per-flow map basis. Such a technique enables the network appliance to drop low priority traffic and forward high priority traffic downstream. Also introduced herein are techniques for metering traffic in order to gain better control over the traffic that is forwarded to an egress port of a network appliance. Because a network tool connected to the egress port can become easily overwhelmed, the network appliance may filter the traffic based on the priority of the flow maps to ensure that the network tool does not receive more traffic than can be handled.
