  • Publication number: 20180003965
Abstract: Systems and methods for enhancing traffic safety through augmented reality and shared data are disclosed. An example method includes, identifying a second transportation vehicle that at least partially blocks a first view of a first user associated with a first transportation vehicle; and obtaining second view data from the second transportation vehicle. The second view data is descriptive of a second view of a second user associated with the second transportation vehicle, and the second view includes an additional view that was blocked in the first view by the second transportation vehicle. In some implementations, the method includes presenting the second view on a first display associated with the first transportation vehicle. In other implementations, for example where the first transportation vehicle is a driver-less vehicle, the method includes providing an electronic signal identifying the second view to the first transportation vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20170344109
Abstract: Systems and methods for device and content management include determining a user is viewing virtual reality content from a user device. Body information associated with the user while the user is viewing the virtual reality content is received through a network from the user device. User engagement information associated with the virtual reality content being viewed by the user is determined using the body information. A first content management action based on the virtual reality content being viewed by the user is generated using the user engagement information. A first notification associated with the first content management action that causes a first change to the virtual reality content being viewed by the user is sent through the network to the user device.

  • Patent number: 9798385
Abstract: Systems and methods for device and content management include determining a user is viewing virtual reality content from a user device, and receiving, through a network from the user device, body information associated with the user while the user is viewing the virtual reality content. A user device management configuration associated with the body information is determined. A user device management action is retrieved using the user device management configuration. A notification associated with the user device management action that causes the user device to perform the user device management action and modify the virtual reality content being viewed by the user is sent through the network to the user device.

  • Patent number: 9569196
Abstract: A system for maintaining and upgrading hardware device functioning provides processes to select and install updates for software (e.g., applications or apps) on the hardware device. A notification system provides information for discretion and control over the selection of software updates to be applied to consumer mobile devices according to the particular characteristics of the device, e.g., the model of device, the specific operating system of the device, and software applications installed on the device. The notification system may be integral with app stores on mobile devices and tablets, and may also be applicable to the Internet of Things. A notification may take the form, for example, of a warning or recommendation associated with an update for an app on the user device and may enable the user to make an informed decision beforehand about whether or not to install a particular update on the user device.

  • Publication number: 20160188285
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling an audio device include a system provider device that retrieves, through a network, audio device information for at least one audio device. The system provider device also receives an indication of a triggered alert from at least one of a plurality of devices. In various embodiments, the system provider device determines an alert type corresponding to the received indication of the triggered alert. In addition, the system provider device modifies an audio setting of the at least one audio device based on the determined alert type. In some examples, the system provider device further modifies the audio setting of the at least one audio device to return the modified audio setting of the at least one audio device to a pre-modified setting.

  • Publication number: 20160189153
Abstract: Systems and methods for authentication of users using online activity are provided. An authentication system may build a user profile in a database by associating online activity data with a user in the user profile, and further by processing the online activity data to generate user interest data and associating it with the user. The authentication system may receive a payment request for a purchase of an item using a payment account of the user. The authentication system may determine if the purchase of the item by the user is consistent with the user's online activity data and/or user interest data. If consistent, the authentication system may authenticate the user and process the payment request by approving the payment request.
