  • Patent number: 4439702
Abstract: An electric motor comprises a stator provided with a helical magnetic core within whose grooves is laid an armature winding, and a rotor disposed within a stator boring. The rotor is provided with salients for forming a main magnetic field, disposed therearound along a helical line, the length of the salients being equal to .alpha..delta..tau., and the distance therebetween being (2-.alpha..delta.).tau., where .alpha..delta. is a coefficient of a rated pole arc, and .tau. is a pole pitch of the motor. According to the invention, in the magnetic core is provided an additional groove wherein is laid an excitation winding, the portions of each turn of the magnetic core whereon the armature winding and the excitation winding are disposed have such a length which ensures axial alignment of the grooves for placing the armature winding within all the turns of the magnetic core.

  • Patent number: 4420712
Abstract: An electric drive includes two d.c. electric motors electrically connected therebetween, each of them comprising a stationary former of magnetic field, a movable portion 1,2, an excitation winding 3,4, and an armature winding 5. A commutating device 25 is connected to the armature winding 5. The former of magnetic field is a ferromagnetic strip 22 or 23 provided with pole-forming projections disposed in two rows in the chessboard order. The armature winding 5 is common for both the motors, its sections being uniformly distributed among the motors, and the ends of the sections are led out at the side of one of the motors and connected to the commutating device 25 for forced commutation of the sections in a function of a relative location of the ferromagnetic modules of the movable portions and pole-forming projections.

  • Patent number: 4408145
Abstract: A linear electric motor comprises a stator constructed in the form of two equidistant ferromagnetic strips 1 and 2 provided with alternating projections 3 and recesses 4 having a length equal to the pole pitch .tau. of the motor. A movable core 5 is disposed between the poles 1 and 2. The projections of the strip 1 are shifted relative to the projections on the strip 2 by a distance .tau.. An excitation winding 3 is laid in the middle portion of the core 5, characterized by a low magnetic permeability. An armature winding 9 is laid in the extreme portions of the core 5, having a high magnetic permeability, in symmetrical relationship with respect to a winding 8. Two coil groups of the winding 9 have equal number of sections and are electrically connected in a commutation device 10.
