  • Publication number: 20120052105
Abstract: This invention concerns biocides possessing fungicidal and bactericidal properties which can be used in construction, medicine and other various areas of technics. A nanostructural composition of biocide is realized from nanoparticles of bentonite powders intercalated by ions of Zn2+ and ions of Ag+ and/or ions of Cu2+. The biocides according to the invention are prepared starting from bentonite poweder which is preliminarly enriched with cations of Na+, then treated with 10-20% solutions of inorganic salts of Zn (preferably zinc chloride or zinc sulfate ZnSO4), and from bentonite powders preliminarly enriched with cations of Na+ and then treated with 10-20% solutions of inorganic salts of at least one ion selected in the group consisting of Ag+ ions (preferably silver nitrate) and Cu2++ ions (preferably copper sulfate). The powders of bentonite, intercalated with the Zn2+, Ag+ and/or Cu2+ ions, are .cleaned from acid anions and Na+ salts, and dispersed into nanoparticles mainly of no more than 70 nm.

  • Patent number: 7744511
Abstract: The invention relates to medicine and is used for forcedly modifying a human posture and producing an increased load on a locomotion apparatus. The inventive device comprises shoulder, pelvic, knee and foot supports which are connected to each other by loading elements each of which is embodied in the form of an inextansible strip and an avoid of residual deformation elastic rod fixed thereto. Said device also comprises a support arranged on the thoracic surface of the body which is connected to the shoulder supports with the aid of self-fixing buckles, thereby forming a vest which tightly embraces a patient body. The pelvic support is embodied in the form of shorts. Said thoracic and pelvic supports are provided with load strips which are sewed therein and provided with buckles for fixing said thoracic and pelvic supports to each other. The knee supports are embodied in the form of a binder in such a way that it tightly embraces a knee-joint area, the upper quarter of a leg and the lower quarter of a hip.

  • Publication number: 20040267282
Abstract: The invention relates to surgical instruments for use in neurosurgery, anaesthesiology and other fields of medicine. The device provides the automatic atraumatic installation of medical instruments, such as a catheter, an electrode, to mention just few, into various spaces and hollow organs of a human body for a specified depth: the epidural or subdural space of the spinal cord, vessels, a joint cavity etc. Sequentially after passage of dense tissues by a needle (2) and entry of the needle's (2) end into the initial parts of the epidural space, a spring (10) operates and a second tube (9) travels inside a first tube (8). An arresting device (12) is moved together with the second tube (9) and a medical instrument (4). At the end of movement, the arresting device (12) interacts with an end face (14) of a slot (13). The result: the assured automatic movement of the medical instrument for a regulated depth (FIG. I).

  • Publication number: 20010007845
Abstract: A device for treatment of patients with disturbed posture and motor activity comprises shoulder, pelvic, knee, pedal, elbow, hand, and finger supports (1), all of them being interconnected by fixing elements, which are shaped as elastic tie-members (2) and placed on the surface of the patient's body in antagonistic pairs so as to follow anatomical arrangement of skeletal muscles. Each of the tie-members (2) is connected to two of the supports (1) and comprises an adjuster (3) of its tension, which is interposed between the tie-member (2) and one of the supports (1) through a lock (5).

  • Patent number: 6180918
Abstract: A method of making a welded joint for constructions of maraging steels consists of making a Y-shaped grooving of edges with a shrink groove in a weld seam root. The junction is assembled by tack weld using a chromium-plated filling wire at a direct polarity current. The welding is carried out by multiple runs of argon-carbon dioxide gas-shielded welding.

  • Patent number: 6107596
Abstract: A combustion chamber for a liquid-propellant rocket engine includes an injector head jointed to a combustion chamber casing having an exhaust head on a nozzle output. The casing is made of a steel jacket and a bronze-steel internal fire wall, which are joined with each other and contain shells connected in series. The exhaust head with shells of the casing, jointed to the exhaust head, are brazed using a solder on the basis of nickel, chromium and manganese. Parts of the injector head and other members of the combustion chamber casing are brazed using a copper-silver solder. Shells of the fire wall are connected by an electron-beam welding, directing an electron beam into axial gaps left while brazing between shells of the jacket. The shells of the jacket are then sequentially connected by an automatic gas-shielded arc welding through corresponding ring spacers.
