    Abstract: The invention relates to the generation of an improved graphics interface which is interactive and allows the user navigation. The interface represents portions of data from a number of fields of data, said fields representing programme information for current and future television programmes which can be viewed. The interface includes a first display portion which represents a portion of one data field and a second display portion which represents a series of said fields, both of said display portions navigable by the user to make selections from the display portions.
