Abstract: A device for reducing presence of microorganisms on a web material for example in a system for manufacture of packages, comprises a housing that defines an interior space, and a microorganism mitigation arrangement in the interior space. Inlet and outlet ports are arranged on the housing to allow the web material to move along a travel path through the interior space between the inlet and outlet ports. The inlet and outlet ports are elongated and comprise a respective seal that defines an elongated slit for flexing engagement with the web material. The device further comprises a spacer which is arranged in the elongated slit of one of the inlet and outlet ports to reduce engagement between the seal and the flat surfaces of the web material at one of its longitudinal edges.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method, in a filling machine, of producing a package with a top of plastic which is injection molded in the machine and is capped before the top has become configurationally stable. In the method, the capping, at least during a first introductory phase, takes place in that a cap with internal threads is rotated and the package is displaced linearly in a direction towards the cap in such a manner that it may be ensured that the relationship between the speed of rotation of the cap and the speed of displacement of the package substantially correspond to the thread pitch of the threads in the cap and in corresponding threads on the neck when the threads enter into mesh with one another.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to an apparatus for sealing a package. The apparatus comprises a sealing unit and an abutment between which a number of material layers are disposed to be clamped and sealed and fused together, wherein the abutment is connected to at least one elongate element which extends in a direction from the abutment towards and past the sealing unit, the elongate elements, beyond the sealing unit are disposed to be connected to at least one first operating element, and an operating unit is disposed to apply a force between the sealing unit and the first operating element so that these are moved in a direction away from one another and so that the abutment and the sealing unit are moved in a direction towards one another.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method of producing crease-lined packaging material with a high degree of accuracy as regards the placing and forming of longitudinal crease lines. A web-shaped starting material (1) is provided, in connection with the laminate production, with a pattern of crease lines (6) extending at an angle to the longitudinal direction of the web, whereafter the material is divided into part webs (9). In connection with the conversion of each part web (9) into individual packaging containers in a filling machine, each part web is provided with complementary, longitudinal crease lines (17, 18).
