Patent number: 10781931Abstract: A method for valve type recognition of a valve connected to an actuator, said valve being one of a first valve type and a second or further valve type. The actuator includes an actuator spindle which can be operatively connected to a valve rod. If the maximum allowable stroke of the actuator spindle is the same, or smaller than, a reference value then it is determined that the valve connected to the actuator is of the first valve type. If the maximum allowable stroke is larger than said reference value, the valve is determined to be of the second valve type. An actuator is provided for use in such a method.Type: GrantFiled: December 9, 2016Date of Patent: September 22, 2020Assignee: IMI HYDRONIC ENGINEERING INTERNATIONAL SAInventor: Anders Engelbrektsson

Patent number: 10619761Abstract: A valve having a balancing function for a fluid distribution system. A valve closing member is movable between a closed position and a fully opened position. An actuation device is provided for changing the position of the valve closing member. A control unit is provided and includes an electronic memory adapted to receive and store an opening limitation value, the opening limitation value being representative of a selected intermediate position between the closed position and the fully opened position of the valve closing member, wherein the control unit controls the actuation device to limit the movement of the valve closing member to positions from the closed position to the selected intermediate position. Also, a valve system and to a method of operating a valve.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 2017Date of Patent: April 14, 2020Assignee: IMI HYDRONIC ENGINEERING INTERNATIONAL SAInventors: Anders Engelbrektsson, Daniel Jilderos, Claus Thybo

Publication number: 20180320791Abstract: A control valve including a valve body, a chamber arranged inside the valve body, a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and a closing arrangement for regulating the flow of fluid from the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet via the chamber. The closing arrangement has a closed state in which no fluid, or only a leakage flow, is allowed to flow through the chamber, a first open state in which fluid is allowed to flow through the chamber, and at least one second open state in which a lower flow of fluid is allowed to flow through the chamber compared to when the closing arrangement is in its first open state. Between the closed state and the second open state, the closing arrangement is configured to allow fluid to flow through the chamber in accordance with a first valve characteristic function.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 25, 2016Publication date: November 8, 2018Applicant: IMI HYDRONIC ENGINEERING INTERNATIONAL SAInventors: Anders ENGELBREKTSSON, Anders JÖNSSON

Publication number: 20060124238Abstract: The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a membrane (1) from a blank (39) by a cure, which membrane comprises two rubber layers (40, 41) and a fabric-formed reinforcement layer (19), positioned between said rubber layers. In order to counteract and prevent respectively undesirable displacements of the reinforcement layer (19) membrane sections, which are movable in an application position, are manufactured according to the invention having a form, which deviates from the application form, and/or are exposed to stretching during the cure in order to within the membrane section bring about a displacement of said reinforcement layer (19) across a portion of at least one of the rubber layers (40, 41) and consequently a position, which deviates from the blank building up during the cure. The invention also relates to a membrane, manufactured according to this method as well as a mold tool designed to carry out the method and the manufacture of the membrane respectively.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 9, 2004Publication date: June 15, 2006Inventor: Anders Engelbrektsson

Publication number: 20050163638Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for controlling the pressure difference in a heating or cooling system, which comprises a heating or a cooling source (2) and a feed duct (3) as well as a return duct (4), connected to the source, and consumption devices (5) disposed between the ducts, which emit or receive heat, at least one valve or the like (6 and 7 and 8, respectively) being used to control the flow through such a loop, and a pressure difference regulator (9) being used to keep the pressure difference between the feed duct and the return duct constant. According to the invention, the pressure difference regulator (9) is optionally mounted in one of the ducts (3 or 4) and is provided with signaling terminals (29 and 27 and 32 and 30, 31, respectively) connected to the inlet (17) and the outlet (28), respectively, as well as to the low pressure regulating side (18) and the high pressure regulating side (15), respectively.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 7, 2003Publication date: July 28, 2005Inventor: Anders Engelbrektsson
