  • Patent number: 7285259
Abstract: Preparation of sintering resistant hexaaluminates, AAl11O18, wherein A is an alka-line earth or rare earth metal, and more particularly lanthanum, by a combination of sol-gel and microemulsion techniques using a water soluble salt of A, and a method of forming spherical pellets thereof are disclosed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 23, 2002
Date of Patent: October 23, 2007
    Assignee: ECAPS
Inventors: Kjell Anflo, Johan Agrell, Anders Ersson, Sven Järås, Magali Boutonnet, Jesper Brandt, Ola Lyckfeldt
  • Patent number: 7137244
Abstract: The present invention relates to a reactor for the decomposition of ammonium dinitramide-based liquid monopropellants into hot, combustible gases for combustion in a combustion chamber, and more particularly a rocket engine or thruster comprising such reactor and a combustion chamber. The invention also relates to a process for the decompostion of ammonium dinitramide-based liquid monopropellants.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 23, 2002

  • Patent number: 6452509
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a method for supplying information to pilots, especially in poor visibility, about, for instance, the borders of a runway (1). Along the long sides of the runway and at its beginning and end, signal means (2, 5) are arranged, which are translucent to e.g. UV radiation and which comprise a fluorescent material which converts the radiation penetrated by illumination into visible light. In the daytime, the UV radiation originates from sunlight. The converted light will then reinforce the usual light from the signal means, which originates from the sun's illumination thereof with visible light. As a result, It will be much easier to observe the signal means especially against the light. It is further suggested according to the invention that at night the signal means are illuminated by UV searchlights (34, 35).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 3, 2000
Date of Patent: September 17, 2002
    Assignee: Fo{umlaut over (r)}svarets Materielverk
