  • Patent number: 12357998
Abstract: A vertical roller mill comprising a grinding table and a grinding roller having a rotational axis, each having a grinding surface and arranged to define a grinding zone between the grinding surfaces grinds particulate material. A feeder feeds the particulate material to the vertical roller mill, with the grinding roller arranged to roll around a grinding path on said grinding table. The feeder receives a supply of the particulate material and directs that material to flow to the grinding zone of the vertical roller mill. The feeder can constrain the flow of material to a defined cross-section by applying a momentum to and/or pushing, or to compact the flow of material prior to directing the material, or combinations thereof. In particular, the disclosure is applicable to grinding particulate materials like mining ores, industrial minerals and chemicals, sand, slag, ash, clay, pigments for coatings, pharmaceuticals and cement raw materials.

  • Patent number: 9709492
Abstract: A filter press having a plurality of stackable filter plate assemblies comprises at least one turbidity sensing module [20, 220, 320, 420] coupled to a first filter plate assembly [1] within the plurality of stackable filter plate assemblies. The turbidity sensing module [20, 220, 320, 420] is generally positioned between a filtrate drain opening [8a-d] communicating with a filter chamber [14], and either a filtrate port [7, 13] or filtrate discharge tube [4g, 15], in order to determine a level of turbidity of filtrate [50] exiting said first filter plate assembly. Turbidity levels may be determined independently of turbidity levels of filtrate [50] exiting other filter plate assemblies [1] within the filter press. When turbidity levels reach a predetermined threshold, and alarm [80] is activated, which informs an operator of the need to replace a filter cloth associated with the affected filter plate assembly [1].

  • Patent number: 7967228
Abstract: Described is a roller mill (1) for grinding particulate material, such as cement raw materials, cement clinker and similar materials, said roller mill comprising a substantially horizontal grinding table (3), at least one therewith interactively operating roller (4) which is configured for rotation about a roller shaft (6) through the use of a bearing (7) for the roller, and a closed circulation system for lubricant for lubricating the bearing (7) for the roller, said circulation system comprising a reservoir (9), ducts (10) for feeding of lubricant to the bearing (7) for the roller and ducts (11) for recirculating the lubricant from the bearing (7) for the roller. The roller mill further comprises an autogenously regulated pressure pump means (20) which is driven by the rotation of the roller (4), and has a first part (21) which is mounted on the roller shaft (6) and a second part (22) which is mounted on the roller (4) and rotates therewith.
