The part also includes an inlet opening for supplying a cooling medium into the cavity and an outlet opening for discharging the cooling medium from the cavity. The radially inner wall is configured to support at least vanes or rotor seals facing rotor blades of the turbomachine, or a carrier for these vanes or seals. The proposed design provides enhanced efficiency without increasing production costs. The turbomachine may include, for example, a gas turbine, a steam turbine or a compressor.
