  • Patent number: 10806391
Abstract: In an embodiment of the subject matter described herein a system is provided. The system includes a portable host system having one or more processors and a memory for storing a plurality of applications. The one or more processors configured to execute programmed instructions of a select application by performing one or more operations, which include obtain a set of frames of 2D ultrasound images, develop a prospect model indicating a likelihood that frames within the set include an organ of interest (OOI), identify primary and secondary reference frames from the set of the frames based on the prospect model, determine a characteristic of interest in the primary reference frame, select a candidate shape for the OOI based on the character of interest in the primary reference frame, and adjust the candidate shape based on the secondary reference frames to form a resultant shape for the OOI.

  • Publication number: 20170124700
Abstract: Methods and systems for measuring a volume of an organ of interest (OOI) from an ultrasound image are provided. The methods and systems acquire a first ultrasound image of an OOI at a first plane and a second ultrasound image of the OOI at a second plane, and identify the OOI within the first ultrasound image and the second ultrasound image by executing a classification model stored on a memory. The methods and systems further determine a first boundary of the OOI within the first ultrasound image and a second boundary of the OOI within the second ultrasound image by executing a contour model stored in the memory, determine a first second dimensional length of the OOI from the first boundary and a third dimensional length of the OOI from the second boundary, and calculate a volume of the OOI derived from the first, second, and third dimensional links.

  • Publication number: 20170090571
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for providing tactile feedback via a touch-sensitive display of an imaging system. In one embodiment, a method comprises acquiring medical imaging data with a medical imaging device, generating an image from the acquired data, displaying the image on a touch-sensitive display, and during user touching of the displayed image, outputting tactile feedback via the display based on the acquired data. In this way, a user may more easily understand and evaluate a displayed image.

  • Patent number: 7678052
Abstract: An anatomic structure is detected based on a medical diagnostic imaging data set. The anatomic structure comprises at least two different types of tissue. At least one anatomic landmark is identified within the data set, the data set is overlaid with a contour template, and a search region of the data set surrounding the contour template is scanned to identify transition points associated with a predefined characteristic of the anatomic structure.
