  • Patent number: 11096402
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a process for preparing a coffee extract, comprising the steps of: providing a mixture of roasted coffee beans and water, milling the mixture of roast coffee beans and water in a pressurised chamber, and separating the milled mixture in a liquid coffee extract and spent coffee grounds. The coffee extract maintains many of the flavour components of the roasted beans.

  • Patent number: 10349665
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a process for production of an instant coffee product in a high yield, comprising the steps of extracting roast and ground coffee beans with water having a temperature of 80° C. or less, to produce a first extract and spent coffee grounds, adding water to the spent coffee grounds to produce an aqueous suspension, hydrolysing the aqueous suspension using a hydrolysing enzyme to produce a second extract and spent remains, adding the first extract to the second extract, optionally after concentration and/or drying of the second extract, to obtain a combined extract, and drying the combined extract to obtain an instant coffee product. The high yield is obtained due to the reduction of enzyme inhibiting substances.

  • Patent number: 8029285
Abstract: The present invention relates to a screw implant (1) for insertion into a bore hole (50) arranged in bone tissue, said implant having a cancellous portion (3), and a cortical portion (2) having an axial length such that, when installed in the bore hole (50), the engagement of said cortical portion (2) with the bone tissue will generally be confined to the cortical bone tissue layer (52). Said cortical portion (2) presents an outer surface which is threaded for accomplishing said engagement, and has an outer design such that, when being screwed into said bore hole under action of a screwing torque, said cortical portion (2) acts so as to increase the compression of the cortical bone tissue only, in essentially radial directions of the implant, resulting in a distinct increase of the screwing torque needed for screwing the implant (1). Said increase is usable as an indication that the implant (1) is in place or nearly in place in the bore hole.

  • Patent number: 6283755
Abstract: Dental implant component (1; 1′) for a dental prosthesis or a core part of a dental prosthesis to be fabricated on comprising a base section (3; 3′) having a proximal end (2; 2′) for engagement with a support end of a support component and a distal end (7; 7′); and an elongate post section (5; 5′) which projects distally from the distal end of the base section and has a transverse dimension which is substantially less than the transverse dimension of the base section. In a first aspect of the invention the dental implant component is made at least in part from a material which is adapted to burn-out during lost-wax casting whereby a dental prosthesis or core part of a dental prosthesis fabricated on the dental implant component by lost wax casting includes at most only a part of the dental implant component. In a second aspect of the invention the elongate post section is positioned offset on the distal end of the base section.
